We took a small break so that Erin could have a talk with Jackson before I explained everything that happened with Matilda. He wanted an explanation right then but I told him we would discuss it on our way down to have a nice chat with her. I know he is trying to listen especially since I am his blood daughter but it is hard when he just found me and we are basically strangers.
"How do you think Dad is going to do after the explanation?" Brittney whispered as we found a place to sit outside while we waited.
"Everything is going to be ok. All of this is a shock and takes some time." I hugged her to me. "Here is a more serious question. Do you have any cookies left? The twins stole my last one."
