I stayed in place and looked at Dr. Perez as she looked at me and Jerome. Jerome didn't seem fazed though, and kept massaging my arms.
Jerome: "Hey Trish. I'm checking on Ms. De Leon's arm. Other than the bruising, I don't see anything else wrong with it. I would advise an x-ray just to be sure."
Valerie: "Thank you Jer- Dr. Montejo. I'll return to my mom's room now."
I lightly nodded at Dr. Perez and her face looked so contemptuous. It looks like she wants to rip my face off.
