The rushing winds whipped at my face as I ran through the elevated trail. My feet hurt from hiking the terrain. Rocks and dead tree branches poked at the soles of my grime-covered sandals. A throbbing ache flared along the back of my right leg, but I ignored it, and I kept pushing forward. The beam of light that I had been following can still be seen piercing Hell’s orange skies.
