Chapter 41
Collins POV
I was kind of hoping that Cora would have left for the day, by the time Michael got there, but I was wrong. Michael came early, probably because he was anxious, and they ran into each other at the elevator. It was really painful to see her face when the elevator arrived on our floor for her to leave, and Michael exited quickly and almost ran right into her. I could see her tear up from my office door as I watched her stop and take a big step back to allow Michael to exit the elevator. Michael attempted to stop her on the elevator after she hit the button, but she put her hand out telling him to stop and she then hit the door close button on the elevator. I could see how upset Michael was at having hurt her, and I can only pray that this works out for him with
