"Once the baby is born you'll collect your money and leave", he said.

"Wouldn't you need someone to nurse him or her?" I asked.

"I already have someone, my fiancée Jessica", he replied.

"Does she know that are planning to have a child?"

"That's none of your business", he snapped, "you'll be moving into a better apartment from tomorrow."

****

Ally Anderson was a 24 year old from Pennsylvania who moved to California for university and decided to stay there when she graduated. She was in search of a job, but it was hard because no one was currently hiring a non experience person or someone with no Masters' degree.

Jacob Brown was a 27 year old who owns the biggest hotel chains in California as well as Florida. When he is pressure into getting married and having a child within a year and a half, he hired Ally to be his surrogate since his supposedly fiancé was out of the country for a while.

What will happen when Jacob's fiancé comes back earlier than expected and sees a pregnant Ally with Jacob? What will she do when she finds out that Jacob went behind her back and plan to have a child without her knowing about it first?

There's only one answer, trouble.

Welcome to another story of mine. ***** Ally's POV: "I'm sorry, but we're looking for someone with a Masters' degree, if you are planning on doing your Master's degree we can work something out", the lady said. I shook my head, four years of university was enough I don't want to do any extra years just to get hired the same job. "Can I work as a cleaner or something?" I asked. Yes I was desperate for a job just to prove my family wrong that I can get a job right out of university and don't need to depend on their money. "Sorry that was the only job available in the newspapers", she answered. "I understand, but thanks for interviewing me", I got up. "Its no problem", I left the building. That was the fifth rejection for the week and it was only Thursday, this was harder than I thought. I need to get a job before I fly home to Pennsylvania for New Years which was two months away, my sister called me every week and each time she calls she asked me if I have a job yet. I would tell her that I am still looking which was true. I need a job to be able to pay my rent the end of this month and so far it wasn't going as planned. I studied business administration at University of California, Berkeley and thought I would get hired one time after I graduate, but its been five months since I graduated and had temporary odd jobs just to pay rent. I refuse to take money from my parents just so they can say I told you so and show everyone that they were right. I was the middle child and decided to attend university on the other side of the states, my two other siblings chose universities near to home like in New York and Massachusetts. I spent the entire summer at home in Pennsylvania, met up with some old high school friends and went on family trips. After summer, I decided that I love California and moved to here in a little affordable apartment. My older brother, Steve moved to Massachusetts with his girlfriend since she was going to start her Masters' degree at Boston University while he worked as an assistant in a big company there, he graduated Harvard University with honors . My younger sister, Alicia just started her junior year at Cornell University, she was studying biological and biomedical sciences; she was kind of the nerd in the family. All of us attended Ivy league universities, our parents were not having it any other way since they both attended ivy league universities. Our mother was a scientist and our father was a pharmacist and owned a lot of pharmacies stores nationwide. I decided to get a cup of coffee before heading home, that was my last interview that I had signed up for. Why would no one hired me? I attended the most well known university in California and graduated with high marks. I got my cup of coffee and sat outside, the breeze blew and I can smell the ocean. I lived in Santa Monica I moved to there after the summer, I just love being near the ocean and Los Angles was less than half an hour away. "What are you going to do? Jessica wouldn't be back until who knows when", two guys exited the little cafe both dressed in business suits and wore expensive watches. "I don't know, but Jessica wouldn't want any kid now much less by the time next year when we get marry", the bronze color hair guy sighed. "We'll think of something, I am sure we can", the black hair guy assured him. "Whatever, see you tonight", he said. "Yeah, bye", the black hair guy walked down the street while the bronze hair guy took out his phone and made a call. "Yeah it's me", he got into the car that just pulled up. Why does he look so familiar though? "Jacob! Jacob!" I saw paparazzi running towards him, "Mr. Brown, a minute of your time please." Then it clicked, that was Jacob Brown, why was he here in Santa Monica? The car sped off before the paparazzi reached in front of the cafe. **** When I got home I opened the newspaper and first thing I saw was Mr. Brown company looking for new workers for his hotel that he recently built in Santa Monica, that was probably why he was here earlier. Tomorrow was the interview better 9 am-12:30 pm, it was kind of rush thing since it was becoming popular quickly. I grinned and called the number, "Mr. Brown's secretary speaking", a female spoke. "Hey, I'm interested in the job, I saw the ad on the papers", I explained. "Name and age." "Ally Anderson, 24 years old." "Thank you and since you're the first person to call, your appointment is at 9 am sharp, do you know where the hotel is located?" "Yes", I answered. It was a few blocks from near the pier, I lived a few blocks down from the pier so every weekend I go to the beach. "Good I'll see you in the morning and just one personal question, are you single?" "Yes." "Thank you Ms. Anderson, see you tomorrow", she hung up. I broke up with my boyfriend of almost one year, three weeks back because he cheated on me over the summer and I found out three weeks ago because the girl contacted me and told me stop messaging her boyfriend. I was hurt was an understatement, I was devastated and betrayed. How could he do this to me after what we been through? Well Steve didn't like him when they met at our annual new years celebration, but Dad loved him and so did I. Since it was only after 12 pm, I decided to cook and then relax by the pier later on. A few hours later I put on my big beach hat and leave the apartment, I had my small beach bag with my sheet and sunscreen along with my phone and keys. I locked my door and go toward the staircase to go to the ground floor. I arrived at the beach five minuted later, there were a lot of people around and in the water as well. I saw some regular people who are always here when I come as well as internet sensations making videos. I laid my sheet on the sand and sat down on it, I put on some sunscreen and laid down not facing the sun with my shades on. This was why I moved to Santa Monica to be close to the ocean, my family should buy a vacation home here in California. "Excuse me mind if I sat down next to you?" A guy asked and I took off my shades and looked up, it was the same guy I saw at the cafe this morning. "Um.. Sure", I sat up. He smiled and opened his chair, the one you can carry around with you. He sat down on it, "the name's Lance", he offered me his hand. "Ally", I replied. "Pretty name for a pretty woman", he winked his beautiful sapphire eyes. I blushed. "Are you from around here?" He asked. "Just a few blocks down, recently moved here." "Cool, I'm living Los Angles actually, but I born and grew up in San Francisco", he explained. "I just graduated from University of California, Berkeley." "Nice I attended Princeton University, I know that's all the way on the other side of the states", he chuckled. "I'm from Pennsylvania, so I know where you're coming from", I nodded. "Guess we should have switched lives so it would have been easy for you to attend university and my family would have been less than four hours away", he shrugged. "Yeah", I laughed. "What do you do for a living?" He asked. "As of right now nothing, but I have a job interview tomorrow so that's good." "Cool, I own a construction business, I make deal with businessmen who are starting up their business and help them with the construction part", he told me. "Nice." "My recent success was Brown hotel chains a few blocks from here", he added. "Well that's where my interview is exactly." "I'm sure he'll hire you, also he's my best friend so I'll put in a good word with him for you tonight", he winked. I laughed, "that's okay, I'm sure I can make a good impression on him." "Yes you will", he smirked, "and I think I just found the perfect girl", he muttered. "What?" "Nothing, do you want a drink or anything?" He got up, "I'm going over to the little beach bar." "A coke is good", I opened my bag to look for my money. "It's okay, it's on me", he smiled and left. I can't believe I just met my future boss' best friend. Lance returned five minutes later while I was scrolling through tik toc, he handed me the bottle of diet coke and sat down in his chair. "Are you going into the water?" "Not today maybe over the weekend", I shrugged. "May I join you in you don't mind? I live by myself and I get tired of being alone there during the weekends." "Don't you have your best friend?" "He doesn't like the public much before of the paparazzi plus he will be flying out this weekend to check on his other hotels in Miami", he shrugged. I nodded. _________________
