Ethan fought the urge to run after Alex. He slipped out after the racket had died down and several hands patted him on the back as he went by. Ethan smiled but he couldn’t help but feel the sadness. Alex should have been here, receiving all the accolades, despite what people were thinking. He knew most of them thought it was all Alex’s fault, that Alex was the one who was gay and had led Ethan on and taken him away from Lea. The smile vanished from his face as he peeked out of the indoor set. Nobody was outside, just as he had thought.
