CHAPTER FOUR Friday was my day for practical arrangements. First I used the rental information Katie had given me, went to see a few places, and signed up for a really nice condo in Southwest Harbor that Margot and I could move into the following Saturday. It was a little pricey for the first few weeks, but after mid-October the price went down enough to be reasonable for me. Then I hired a mover to fetch my worldly effects, currently stashed in a storage unit in Concord, and bring them to Bar Harbor. This was ignoring my promise of giving Margot the right of refusal, but I had no doubts about this place. It was in a gorgeous setting. Weathered board exterior gave the place a natural look, and it was directly across the road from the actual harbor. Our place had views of the water. And t
