Ellis' POV
I was restless the whole evening. My eyes occasionally look at the picture of the twins on my phone, and memories of what happened are recalled in my head. They were so perfect, a perfect mixture of their mother and I.
I decided to take a walk around the Estate, to clear my head. However, it did me no good.
"No, I don't care about that. Just pick," I heard Lilac's distant, cold voice. I focused on the couple sitting on a bench. Jace and Lilac haven't been close since her miscarriage, and I could sense their tension.
"I'm tired. I'm going to bed," Jace said, standing up and walking away.
"Run like you always do!" she shouted.
