"Daddy!"
The girl cheered. She lifted her tiny arms so that I could carry her, and I did.
"I've been missing you, Daddy," She said with her little, sweet voice.
I smiled at her gently. Her presence brought so much joy to my heart, and this feeling was new to me.
"Hello, little princess," I greeted her. She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me.
"Daddy, you're back!" she was so excited. I only hugged her back, closing my eyes as I did. She pulled away and beamed at me.
"What is your name?" I asked gently.
"You know my name, Daddy," she giggled. Her laughter was a lovely melody to my ears. I exchanged a glance with my beta, but he was as clueless as I was. This child looked no older than five, yet she was so comfortable to be carried by a stranger.
