13 Nena awoke a few hours later feeling refreshed. She sat up and stretched her arms above her head. A hard object slid down her lap and between her legs. She furrowed her brow and raised the sheets. There, nestled between her legs, lay her gun. She drew it out and studied the plain makeup of the weapon. The metal was cold to the touch, but she felt a strange warmth to it that she didn’t remember. There came a knock on the door. “You awake?” Jack called through the shut entrance. Nena stuffed the gun into its holster and flung aside the sheets before she threw her legs over the side. “Yeah. What time is it?” The door opened and Jack stepped inside. “We have some time,” he assured her as he closed the door behind himself and walked over to take a seat beside her. “How are you
