CHAPTER NINETEEN Time Unknown Deep Underground He was alive. He woke with a start. Normally, he would sit straight up in bed, but the pain in his midsection and in his left upper arm were too much. Also, he didn’t know where he was, or who was here, so it was better not to move just yet. Instead, he lay quietly, staring up at the rounded white ceiling. The light was dim in this room.
