After spilling my guts to Jules, I felt lighter. A weight was lifted off my shoulders. For the first time in eighteen years, I felt a sense of peace. When Jules informed us that Samuel and Carter’s birthday was scheduled in the morning instead of the after as planned, I knew he was up to something.
