Criseda's POV I had never felt so utterly humiliated in my life. At breakfast, I was reduced to a mere shadow, an afterthought, by the one man I had been raised to serve and cherish. I am a princess—a woman others would kill to possess—and yet, here I was, invisible to the man who should have been fighting to keep me by his side. I’d always known that love wouldn’t come easily, that it wasn’t something to be handed out freely. But I had at least expected some effort, some acknowledgment that I existed beyond the role I was born into. But he couldn’t even give me that.
