Alpha Kael's POV I was in my room, cracking my fingers in frustration. Soraya's words still echoed in my mind, needling at my patience. Everything was a mess. The more I tried to push thoughts of Kaida out of my head, the more they clawed their way back in, fueled by the hatred I felt towards her. I let out a loud growl of frustration, pacing the room. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the full moon rising in the sky, a blur of pale blue light. It was time. Time to mark Criseda as my Luna. Just as I was about to leave, my door flung open and there stood Criseda. “Alpha Kael,” she called, locking eyes with me. “It’s time,” we both said at the same moment. I acknowledged the coincidence with a nod. “I’m aware,” I said. “I saw the full moon. Let’s go.” I headed towards the
