Affair With The Boss's Wife: Chapter One

887 Words
My name is Stan, a young and ambitious man, eager to secure a job at the prestigious Diamond Investments Company. I had applied for the position of Personal Assistant to the CEO, and today was the day of the interview. As I arrived at the company's headquarters, I was taken aback by the crowd of applicants waiting in the lobby. It seemed like the whole of the country was searching for a job, and this company was the holy grail. As I waited patiently, I noticed the CEO, Mr. Douglas, step out of his office to address us. But just as he began to speak, his phone rang, and he excused himself to take the call. He spoke in hushed tones for a few minutes before calling out to his wife, asking her to come and take over the interview process. My eyes widened as Mrs. Douglas walked into the room. She was a stunning beauty, with piercing eyes that seemed to see right through me. Her long, curly hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and her smile could light up a room. I felt a sudden jolt of attraction, but quickly composed myself, reminding myself that I was there for a job, not to get caught up in romantic fantasies. But as Mrs. Douglas began to ask me questions, I couldn't help but feel drawn to her. She seemed lost and kept staring at me, her eyes searching for something. I answered her questions confidently, and she nodded thoughtfully, her gaze never leaving mine. Before I knew it, she pointed to two ladies and said, "You and you, I want you as office cleaners." Then she pointed to a man and said, "You, I want you as my husband's driver." And finally, she pointed at me and said, "And you, Stan, I want you as my assistant." The room fell silent, and I felt like I was dreaming. Did she just give me the job? And why did she look at me like that? I tried to play it cool, but inside, I was screaming with excitement. "See me later, Stan," she said with a smile, and I knew that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't imagine. The First Day... I arrived at the Diamond Investments Company early on Monday morning, my heart racing with excitement and a hint of nervousness. I had never worked as a personal assistant before, but I was determined to make a good impression. As I stepped into the office, Mrs. Douglas greeted me with a warm smile. "Good morning, Stan. Welcome to your first day." I nodded, trying to play it cool. "Good morning, ma'am. Thank you for the opportunity." She led me to her office, a spacious room with a stunning view of the city. "Sit down, Stan. We need to go over your duties and responsibilities." As she began to explain my tasks, I couldn't help but notice the way her eyes sparkled when she spoke. I felt a flutter in my chest but quickly pushed it aside. I was here to work, not to get distracted by my boss's wife. But as the day went on, I found myself stealing glances at her, admiring the way she carried herself with grace and confidence. I was in trouble, and I knew it. As the day drew to a close, Mrs. Douglas called me into her office once again. "Stan, I need you to accompany me to a dinner party tonight. My husband will be there, and I want you to make a good impression." I nodded, my heart racing with excitement. A dinner party with the CEO and his wife? This was going to be interesting. Night at the party... I arrived at the dinner party feeling nervous and out of place. The mansion was grand, and the guests were all dressed to impress. I stuck out like a sore thumb in my simple suit and tie. Mrs. Douglas greeted me with a warm smile and took my arm, leading me into the crowd. "Stan, I want you to meet some people," she said, her voice dripping with sophistication. As we mingled, I couldn't help but feel like a fish out of water. These people were wealthy and powerful, and I was just a small-town boy from a town you'll forget the very second I mentioned it. But Mrs. Douglas seemed to sense my discomfort and stayed by my side, introducing me to her friends and colleagues. As the night wore on, I found myself relaxing in her presence. She was charming and witty, and her laughter was infectious. I couldn't help but feel drawn to her, even though I knew it was wrong. But then, Mr. Douglas appeared, his eyes narrowing as he saw his wife's hand on my arm. "Stanley, I see you're getting comfortable," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. I felt a surge of fear, knowing I had overstepped my bounds. "Sir, I was just... uh... enjoying the evening," I stuttered. Mrs. Douglas intervened, her voice smooth as silk. "Darling, Stanley is my new personal assistant. I'm just showing him the ropes." Mr. Douglas's expression softened, but I knew I had been warned. I was here to work, not to get too close to the boss's wife.
