Colt gave Mattie a mischievous smile and wished her good luck. She knew he was up to something and figured Dax would be one of the attackers. Shaking her head, she would be ready for him.
Being the first one in a simulation was less than ideal. Other candidates would be able to watch from live camera feeds and get a feel for the training. Relaxed, Mattie walked through the forest, keeping her eyes and ears open. She had to make it to the other side of the course to be considered safe. Everywhere between here and there was fair game. The course really had no boundaries as it was a forest.
