After everyone told me how they all met and who my birth parents were and what they had done. I understood why they tried to cut that part of their life out and keep it hidden. I looked over at Crystal and she just smiled at me. How could she sit there and smile after everything that happened to her? I know why Mason was so upset. It must be hard having a constant reminder of the friend who betrayed you.
“Why did you guys choose me? You could’ve found some other baby to adopt and completely cut us out of your lives”
“Well to be honest,” my dad looked over to Crystal, everyone following his gaze, “she said that it wasn’t your fault how your parents turned out and that you were innocent in all of this”
“We were actually going to set up a trust fund for you,” Mason grabbed Crystal
