Chapter 29: Wedding Bells

Narrator's POV

"Fai...please accept his proposal. After all those you have rejected, someone is finally wanting to marry you. If not Atlas then marry Dario. He is perfect for you. He is handsome, rich, brave and what not. Don't reject his proposal Fai" Faith's mother pleaded her when she found out about Dario's proposal for her. She was desperate for her daughter to settle down. Girls normally would settle down at the age of 23-25 but her daughter was now 27, nearly 28. She wanted to have grand children, she wanted her daughter to be happy but little did she know how deeply her heart was wounded by the one she had loved. 

Faith looked at her mum in disbelief. Dario was right, her mother would emotionally blackmail her or do something for her to marry someone. She knew Dario would do everything to make sure he gets what he wants, he was the scariest man on earth but in reality he was the softest person from the inside when you personally know him. Not knowing if Dario was serious about the threat or not, she decided to risk it and decline his proposal. "No mum, he is my friend, why would I want to marry my friend?" she rolled her eyes. 

Her mother gasped, "Are you crazy Faith.....when I first saw that lad he looked a lot familiar but when I found out that he was the number 1 known business man in the country I was shook to my core. You were friends with the Rizzo and you didn't even tell us. I can tell how much the man loves you, don't lose this opportunity Fai" her mother tried to persuade her. 

Faith gritted her teeth when her mother mentioned the L word. She stood up in anger and grabbed her coat. "Where are you going young lady?" her mother scolded her. "Away from this damn house" she muttered and stormed out from the room. "What am I going to do with this girl?" her mother shook her head in disappointment. 

Faith madly drove to Dario's house to sort everything out. She was in pure anger and stress. "DARIO" she yelled out when entering his mansion. "Nice to see you here my love" a voice boomed behind her causing her to jump. She turned around and glared at him. "My answer is a No, I reject your proposal. I don't want to marry you" she confessed with a straight face. Dario's lips formed a straight line when he heard her answer. "Fai...Fai...Fai, I thought you knew me better enough to know that I do as I say" he stated. 

"I don't care Dario. You can't threaten me, it won't work on me, so forget about it and just forget me as well"

"Now that is something impossible for me to do" he replied back. "You didn't take my words seriously didn't you my love....now watch what will happen" he smirked at her causing fear to enter her body. "W-what will you do?" she slightly stuttered knowing how powerful Dario is. He just winked at her as he dialled in a number on his smartphone. 

"Destroy the Abdella's" he ordered causing Faith's eyes to widen in shock. "Buy all of their business and take over their lands and properties they all own" he stated while keeping his eyes on her shocked face. 

"I want their belongings out of their house by tonight, that house will be mine" he smirked while giving orders on his phone. Panic entered Faith's body as she ran towards him with fear and worry. "Stop, stop this Dario, please don't do this" she begged but he ignored her. "Also send a cheque to Enextive (Faith's company), I want to buy that company from Mr Atlas Williams". 

Faith gasped knowing she could never buy her company back. Even though the girl was rich she could never win over Dario. Tears flooded Faith's eyes knowing how hurt her family was going to be because of her. She was the reason behind all the problems, she could now only blame herself. 

While Dario continued ordering his men on his phone, Fai suddenly got a call from her mother. With shaky hands she received the call only to hear her mother's sobs on the call. "Fai...Fai you...you need to come home....your father he....he has had a heart attack.....your...your father's business has been......" her mother sobbed causing Faith to freeze in shock. "We....we lost all our money Faith....please come" her mother cried. 

Faith's phone fell out of her hands as she stared at the ground in shock, her tears delicately falling onto the ground with a small splash. "I want all the fi-"...."OK" she shouted cutting Dario off. Her eyes went from the ground now glaring at him with betrayal, hurt and anger. "I agree with your proposal.....I will marry you" she snapped feeling defeated. 

Even though Dario's heart clenched with pain at seeing her tears he hid them behind his emotionless face. He gave her a fake smirk and told his men to cancel everything he had just said. "Now does this prove how serious I was?" he mocked her. She nodded her head "I will marry you but never dare hurt my family Dario" she furiously wiped away her tears. "Very well my love, I will send your wedding dress tomorrow. We will be getting married next week itself" he whispered in her ear making her shocked. 

"Don't look at me so shocked my love. I can't wait any longer for you to become mine. Take care my love and I will pay for your dad's hospital bills even though I know you can. Let's just say....its a gift from his future son in law" he smirked and kissed her on the corner of her lips causing her eyes to widen, her heart increasing dramatically. 

Remembering her mother's words, Faith ran out of the house with tears, scared for her father's life. "If anything happens to my dad, I will never forgive you Dario". 

"I'm so sorry my love but this is the only way to make you mine" a voice whispered as he saw the love of his life drive off away from his house.
