“Please take care of her.” My mom stood in the hall holding me tightly in her arms while talking to Alarick who was already ready to go. “I will take care of her like one of my own.” Alarick replied and she laughed. “Yeah, that’s exactly what I am afraid of.” She added before she took my face into her palms and kissed my forehead.
