Chapter 6
When Hud arrived at the hospital, he noticed cameras, video cams, reporters, news anchors, and a whirl of people running around as if they were waiting or watching for something.
“What’s going on here?” he asked one of the reporters.
“We’re here to do a follow-up story on Stoney Martin. The hospital won’t let us in, so we’re waiting to get word on his condition.” He reporter looked at Hud. “You knew that he got his face slashed some time back, didn’t you?”
“I think I heard something about it.”
“Then you must know that he’s the most popular porn model in the business. A couple of years ago he dropped out of sight. Hell, some people even said he was dead. Word got out that he’s back, and will probably be going back to work as soon as the doctor releases him.”
