Chapter 6: Lisa (part 1)

“One margarita and two tuna sisig please,” the guy in Hawaiian shirt said.

The place was full of colourful lights and the aroma of sweet coconut juice. The reggae song wakes the soul of everyone that was sitting and eating. Even Though the place has a relaxing ambiance, the girl in the blue shoulder dress had her eyes wandered around. She sat beside the huge glass window, having the view of the sea and moon yet she didn’t pay attention to it. She keeps touching her knife that was placed under her right sleeve.

The girl sat straight as one of the restaurant crew came over to  her. “Ma’am, here’s your order,”

The crew put her orders on her table one by one. She thanked him as soon as the crew finished putting her orders and sighs as she feels that there’s nothing to worry. She’s about to take her first bite when the crew came again smiling while waving it’s right hand while holding a pitcher of colourless liquid on his left hand “ ma-,” the crew did not finish his words as he suddenly collapsed in front of her.  The customers beside her turned their heads to her as they heard the sound of a falling glass.

“B-B-BLOOD!!” the customer beside her shouted as the blood came out of  the crew’s head. The people looked at the guy who just screamed and started to panic.  The relaxing ambiance of the place earlier turned chaotic as soon as the continuous bang was heard.  The girl on her table calmed herself and took advantage of the chaotic people, she stood up and went to the  restaurant crew’s body and  held the head of it and noticed the string in it’s head. With a shaking hand, she gets the end of the string and becomes horrified as she sees her name in the tag. 

Suddenly a guy in topless and flowered shorts appeared in front of her smiling, “Lisa? Kier is looking for you,” 

Lisa’s eyes shaken with fear. She screamed in pain when the guy pulled her hair, “you should hide more,” the guy said. Lisa looked at him and chuckled. “I’m sorry,” She said and pulled out her knife from her sleeve and  pierced the guy’s eyes. The guy released her hair and backed out, he screamed in pain with his left eye crying with blood. Lisa didn't hesitate, she used the opportunity to run as fast as she could. She soon reached the side of the sea. She caught her breath while wiping her sweats.  

“Lisa!”

Lisa was stunned as she heard the voice, it was a bit familiar to her. She turns around and sees a guy wearing a bluish shirt and jogging pants. He smiled at her while waving his santoku knife.

“Miss me?”  the guy asked, then his mouth curved with a smile.

“Jayven.” 

Jayven sprinted towards her and s***h Lisa, luckily she dodge it without having a scratch. Her lips form a side smile, “you’re getting rusty, man.” Lisa cupped her waist and found her 6 inch fighter knife. She was afraid of fighting with guns yet if she held a knife she could surely fight. With her arms raised and her feet in a ninety degree position, she ready herself to strike.

Jayven waves his knife again yet for the second time, Lisa dodge again.  Jayyven started to feel anxious and frustrated, he  continued to attack while Lisa continued to dodge. They went that way for about a minute and Jayven is starting to feel exhausted. It was the time where Lisa held the right arm of Jayven, twisted her body, pulled his arm and threw him to the ground. Due to his exhaust body, jayven couldn’t stand quickly. Lisa didn't baulk, She pierced her knife to Jayven’s left thighs five times and right leg four times. Jayven yelped as he felt the knife cutting through its skin. “St-stop,” he cried.

Lisa stopped as she saw blood all over her dress, he looked at the guy she just made crippled screaming in pain. “That’s for leaving the phoenix hive for money, fcker.” she said and ran.  Jayven followed the silhouette of the girl. 

Jayven was one of Lisa’s subordinates six years ago, he’s one of the poorest in fighting and business yet, Lisa  stood up for him. He taught Jayven the art of knife but Mr.Calixtro was not happy with it. Mr.Calixtro thought that Jayven was not strong enough to be in the Manila base, so he sent him to Boracay to manage one of his wing bases, but Sampaguita offered Jayven a large amount of money and a higher position. He accepted the offer, left the phoenix and led the base 7 of sampaguita.

Lisa was disappointed in him especially when he offered her to come with him. Jayven received a slap from Lisa and a wound on his body while fighting with Mr.Calixto's men. After he crippled for years because of his injuries from the fight he went to Visayas to lead the another base of Sampaguita.

When Jayen heard the news that Lisa was the one who stole the document he immediately sent his man to search for her. When they finally saw her, he thought that if he killed the thief he would be granted a higher position. But while he was fighting with Lisa, he realised that he was stupid to work with emotions.

Jayven took his phone and dialled a number, the call was immediately answered by a guy, “she’s here. Lisa. Lisa is here” he said and collapsed. The guy on the line moan and said, “good job,” then it hang the call.
