"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Val asked as we got into her car.
I nodded.
It's a little late to back out now anyway. I mean, I'm already here. Besides, Ryland and Val are the only two people I've ever met and felt instantly comfortable around. I'm sure I'll feel that way with the rest of their family as well.
Still, I'm a little nervous. Val told me that Ryland has five siblings. All of them are home right now too. Plus both parents, and Val. That makes... eight people in total.
