After Ryland said those last words to me, he got up from his chair in the library, and walked out without another word. I have no idea what he wants. Or if I'm working on this project alone or not.
I finished up my homework quickly, and walked home. All I could think about is how stupid I was to think it would be okay to talk to Ryland. I was just so angry and fed up at that moment.
Was this a mistake? What's Ryland going to make me do? Is he going to trick me, and Carly will really be there waiting? Is my life as a simple mute over now?
