"Ugh! Finally!" Val shouted happily as we walked to our first class. "The last week before Christmas break. Are you excited, Nasha?"
I nodded to her as we walked into the classroom. My eyes flickered at Ryland's seat. He was already staring at me. When he caught my eyes, he winked at me.
I quickly looked away as I felt a blush rise to my cheeks.
I sat down in my seat, and Val turned around to face me. She set the notepad on my desk, and started chatting away about her weekend with her parents. I enjoyed listening to her talk amicably about her time with her family. I know that Val missed them a lot.
"So, how was your weekend? Boring without me?" Val asked.
My face flushed.
Yes, very. I wrote down to her.
