Chapter 6

2047 Words
Logan I hadn't planned on kissing her last night. I really just wanted to get to know her. But the second I looked into her eyes, standing on her front porch I knew it had to happen.  Autumn telling me how she'd been ignored and cast aside most of her life pissed me off. She seemed so sweet and kind. But strong and intelligent. Not to mention she was absolutely beautiful. What the hell was wrong with this Paul guy? She said it had been an accidental explosion at his plant. With a winning personality like the one he seemed to have, I wouldn't be surprised if someone had blown him up on purpose.  As I put Mac to bed she was rambling on and on about the quarry. She had in fact met little Aiden and said he was pretty alright. In her book that meant he was a winner. She hated people as much as I did. After I knew she was asleep I threw myself on the couch and flipped on the TV.    I tried to relax but I felt wired. Like I had a 9-volt battery attached to my junk. I wanted to call her. I could easily get her number from Beth Anne. But that seemed too forward. It was after 11 so she was probably asleep. I wish I was asleep. But my mind was racing. I wanted to see her again. Now if possible. What was wrong with me? No female had ever invaded my mind this way. Usually, after a few hours, I never thought about them again. And I rarely left a woman with just a kiss. But damn it had been some kiss.  My d**k suddenly felt too big for my pants. I couldn't get her out of my mind. Her smile. Those lips. How soft her skin was... I knew what I needed to do if I was ever gonna get some sleep. Though I did feel like a dirtbag for doing it. I walked into my room. Shut the door and made sure to lock it. I didn't need anybody walking in on this...  Autumn.  I laid in bed staring at the ceiling. I couldn't get my mind to shut off. All I could think about is Logan. His large hands on my ass. His powerful arms wrapped around me. His hard body pressed deliciously against mine. And his mouth. I never knew someone was capable of doing so much with just a kiss.  My skin felt warm. My body ached for something. Some kind of release. I'd done this before but it never really did anything for me. But with the taste of Logan still, on my lips, I felt like I was already about to explode. I closed my eyes and thought of his voice in my ear his breath on my neck. As my hand started to travel south over my breast and stomach I imagined his hands instead. When they reached in between my legs at the just the right spot I cried out without meaning to. In my mind, Logan's fingers worked their magic. My hips started to rise off the bed and I was panting. Ready.  Logan As I brought my hand up and down the base of my d**k all was picturing was Autumn. Her perfect soft hands. The smell of honeysuckle flooded my brain. She was soft in all my favorite places. And fit under my hands perfectly.  I quickened my pace as I jerked myself. I knew I was close when sweat broke out on my back. I braced my other hand on the wall in front of me. I thought of what she would feel like underneath me. Her legs wrapped around me, her head thrown back and screaming my name as we came together. I grunted. I was so close.  Autumn  As my fingers moved faster I knew I was almost there. A flash of Logan's face and naked body went through my mind. I knew without a doubt he looked amazing naked. I thought of his hands holding my hands above my head, completely surrounding me, grunting as he emptied himself inside me. With that, an explosion of colors and shapes danced in front of my eyes. My body trembled and my skin was damp with sweat. I laid there catching my breath-holding my hands over my heart. It was pounding. As glorious as that orgasm was it was going to be amazing when Logan really made love to me. I quickly fell into a wonderful solid sleep.  Logan As I grew closer, my hands moved faster and now I was gritting my teeth trying not to scream. Her face her body her voice. It was all could see now. With one last tug on my d**k, I exploded. It was so intense I almost passed out and fell on the floor. I braced my hands on the wall and caught my breath for a moment. Once I got my breath back I quickly cleaned up and crashed onto my bed. It was only moments later that I had fallen asleep. With her still on my mind.  Autumn  As I walked through the kitchen cleaning up from cooking breakfast, Aiden came running down the stairs.  "Morning mom! What smells so good?" He started looking around the living room for food. My son was such a goofball sometimes.  "Well son if you smell food, you probably won't find it in the living room. Come in here and sit down with me. Please?"  I had made his favorite. Bacon almost burnt and eggs sunny side up. Aiden was an old soul. I loved that about him. He said down and shook the hair out of his face. He'd be getting a haircut before school started. I made a mental note. He looked so much like his father. At one point in my life, I would have been elated at the thought of having a child just like Paul Cooper. Now I was just happy to have my son. No matter what he looked like. Paul was an ass but he was handsome. I knew though if I had to choose him today, I wouldn't.  Logan's face popped into my head and I got goosebumps. Remembering last night with him. I glanced over at the front door thinking about being pressed against the other side of it. My skin started to warm. I was still floating from what had done to myself last night as well.  "Hey, mom?" Aiden's voice made me jump back to reality.  'Yeah, honey? What's up?" I said trying to bring my voice back to normal. He was still looking down at his plate when he asked " mom would it be okay with you if a friend of mine came over to play today? She's really nice. I met her yesterday at the quarry." I couldn't believe he was asking me about a girl. He would be turning 11 in a couple of months but it was still way too soon for "the talk" " Well yeah, sweety that's fine. What's your little friend's name?"  He finished his last piece of petrified bacon.  "Her name is Michaela."  I nearly choked on my coffee when I hear Aiden say his friend's name was Macheala. I mean I understand it's a small town, but what are the chances? If I had to think about it I guess it wasn't so far off. They were around the same age, probably lived within a few blocks of each other, and they were both at the quarry last night. Plus I'm sure she spends a lot of time with Beth Anne and Ray's kids.  "Sure honey, she can come over to play. As long as you guys behave." I added jokingly. I got lucky with Aiden. He rarely ever gave me any trouble. "When did you wanna invite her over?" He jumped up from the table and carried his plate to the sink. Our kitchen was circa 1953. It had been updated since then but the high countertops and farmhouse sink were still a little high for Aiden. He said over his shoulder as he stood on his toes to reach his Gameboy that had been charging during the night, "I was gonna see if she could come over today. She just got a new bike so I figured we could go riding around the neighborhood. She said her dad wouldn't mind."  Her dad... This would mean Logan was going to be in my house. With me. Alone. My heart started to jump out of my chest. "well do you have a phone number? I would need to make sure it's okay myself" he ran upstairs to his room. I heard him shuffling around up there for a minute. Then he came back down and put a piece of paper in my hand.  It was clearly written by a kid but the handwriting but very clear.  Michaela Marshall 223-558-0146 I didn't know if this was a cell phone or a landline. If people still had those? Aiden went back up to his room while I nervously dialed. It rang 3 times. I half expected to get a voicemail. But just then a deep husky voice answered. Logan.  "Hello?" He sounded sleepy. But I couldn't help but smile at the sound.  "Hello? This is Logan Marshall. Anybody there?" I stumbled trying to get the words out.  "Um hi, Logan this is Autumn... I'm sorry you probably didn't expect me to call." I was so nervous. I felt like an i***t. " No, I'm glad to hear from you Autumn You doing alright this morning?"  I loved the way he said my name.  "Oh, I'm good. I hope your doing okay... So Aiden came to me this morning and said he made friends with your Macheala last night at the quarry. He asked if they could have a sort of playdate today? If you guys aren't busy that is? If you already have plans that's totally fine." I was rambling. But I couldn't help it. This man who hadn't known at all this time yesterday morning was now invading my every thought.  " We don't have any plans for today. I'm sure Macheala love to come to hang out. She'll take any excuse to get out of the house." Before I could respond he added "plus id really like to see you, Autumn. I hope that's okay?" I nearly dropped the phone. But I caught it before it crashed on the floor. I quickly put it back to my hear and tried to sound normal.  "Um yeah, that- that would be great. I'd like to see you too Logan. It's 10:30 now do let's say in an hour?" He agreed and before hanging up said "We'll be there. I can't wait to see you..."  Logan I couldn't believe she called me. I wondered if she had gotten my number last night from Beth Anne. Last night... I still couldn't shake her even after taking care of it last night. I woke up this morning with the last image I had of her. Standing on her front porch. Skin all glowy and still catching her breath from our kiss. I put my hand to my lips as I scrubbed the stubble on my face. I needed a shave. I braced my hands on either side of the bathroom sink and looked in the mirror. My hair was a wavey mess, my eyes still looked tired from the night before. I decided on a shower. That might wake me up. If Autumn was here I'd ask her to join me. I shook the thought.  "Yeah, cold shower it is."  I was getting out of the shower when I heard Mac hollar from the living room that my phone was ringing. I threw on a towel and went out to grab it off the end table. I didn't recognize the number but answered it anyway.  "Probably a telemarketer. Hello?..." I waited but didn't hear anything. I tried one last time thinking it could be a neighbor or someone from the shop. "Hello? This is Logan Marshall. Anybody there?" Finally, I heard the sweetest voice on the other line. It was her.  Apparently, the kids had decided to set up a play date. Which meant I was going to see her again. This was insane. This woman was suddenly everywhere. And I wanted her to be. She said to be there in an hour. And we would be.
