Ariel's lavender scent is helping to keep my wolf and me at ease. She's safe and that's all that matters right now. I kiss the top of her head and stand to my feet, helping her off the floor as well.
"M-mom?" She stutters out as she hugs Selina. "Mom, say something. Are you okay?" The worry laced in her voice as her mother doesn't hug her back or speak.
"Ariel, I think she's in shock still. I'll go put her in bed until she's ready to talk. Is that okay?" I wait for her to nod before I lift Selina up bridal style and Ariel follows me to her mother's room. I place her gently into her bed and Ariel gives her a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you, mom. For saving me today and for everything you do."
