Skye's P.O.V I can hear the house coming alive. Everyone is trying to hustle around quietly, being sure not to mess with my sleep. Today is my special day!!!! Little do they know I have already been awake and showered and brushed my hair. Now I'm standing in front of my clothes in my walk-in closet trying to find something to wear . I am my parents' only child. I get what I want when I want or someone has to pay. (Ok not really lmao I am the only child but I'm not one of those only children.) I am well taken care of and spoiled like no other. But everyone says I'm naïve and let people get away with way too much. I should act more like my title. You see my mother… not only is she the Luna of our pack with a beautiful fierce wolf, she is also a very powerful witch. No one knows that information outside of our pack territory as soon as you leave our land, even if you are only running to town, all you can remember is that she is an amazing Luna. spells are so nifty . My father is the alpha and he is the last pureblood Lycan. He can make anyone and everyone's knees crumble beneath them when he lets out a growl or raises his voice. Even other alphas I've seen him do it. Put them together and boom you get me. I stand about 5'4. My long brown hair is kissed by the sun with natural highlights of golden bronze and honey. It is as curly as a vine and thick as a hedge and stops just above my bottom. I have golden tan skin with freckles dancing across my high cheek bones, nose, chest and shoulders . I'm not too skinny but not fat. I have curves in all the right places .I stay pretty fit with volleyball, softball, basketball. If it has something to do with a ball, then I'm most likely down. My dad has had me on the training grounds since I learned to walk. I have mastered Kendo, ninjutsu, and karate. My dad always jokes I'm the son my dad dreamed of only in a dress with make-up and well, a girl. Mom has always been big on meditation. Staying calm don't let your emotions cloud your judgment. Think before you react, give yourself time to asses the situation and outcome before you lose control. Stay calm, keep a clear head. Keep your emotions in check So Id say I'm a pretty equal balance between the two. I decided on a pair of biker shorts and a tank top, no reason to go over bored for breakfast . Tying my hair up in my signature messy bun, I slide on my pink fuzzy slides, and head downstairs. Excited to see what Michelle had made for breakfast. For as long as I can remember, Michelle has worked for us but instead of, an employee, she feels kinda like my bonus mom except that she doesn't take anyone's s**t. She is tuff as nails and can even make my dad be quiet . She took care of my mom when she was little and now she is with me... As I hit the bottom of the stairs I could smell all of the food being cooked and, oh my lanta there is all my favorite breakfast food set up and more coming out as Michelle gets finished. Everyone who knows me knows I love meat !!!! As soon as I entered the dining room, I was met with good morning and congratulations. I flash a huge smile at everyone and offer them all thank yous as I go towards my parents. " Good morning mom what's up dad ". Right away mom is almost in tears today, the day I meet my wolf . I think she might be more excited than I am and I'm over the moon. " did we wake you? How did you sleep? Did you get enough rest? Today is the day ain't you excited I can not wait to see you shift! I bet your big and strong like your dad but beautiful and pure" moms almost screaming by the end. " Calm down Kia" my dad says as he stands to give me a side hug "good morning baby girl, today's the big day are you ready?" I roll my eyes "what's happing today, it's not my graduation ?" "haha very funny squirt" my dad chuckled then my excitement boiled over and I jumped in place and screamed really loud, forgetting everyone in the room had already gotten their wolf, so their hearing is heightened and I might have caused some damage. covering my mouth in a very fast motion almost a little to hard " sorry for the outburst yall I couldn't contain it any longer " my dad just smiles while my mom dabs her tears of excitement from her cheeks with a huge toothy smile plastered on her face. Sitting down for breakfast, I grab all my favorites bacon ham sausage and gravy with whop biscuits, scrambled eggs with cheese , fried taters and a huge glass of frozen orange juice ... My mom is shocked by the amount of food I consume and the fact I'm not bursting at the seams haha my dad just tells her to leave me be. I'm growing and strong. I need it. after finishing breakfast... twice... I'm ushered up stairs to begin getting ready for the day... we have brunch in the garden for a meet and greet with the elder pack members even though I know most of them, all ready. Mom helps straighten my hair after I slip on a simple white lace summer dress that reaches just above my knee. I know this will be the slowest part of my day. Not because I have to be on my best behavior, but the elders do everything by the book EVERYTHING it is very formal and I'm way to relaxed to be so uptight . After shaking what seemed like 200 hands and receiving hugs and congratulations from so many people, brunch is finally completed as my mom and dad tell everyone bye. I am bouncing in place as I see the bright red convertible and bleached-blonde hair coming down our driveway . "Booo I'm so happy your here" I screamed so she can hear me. Squills can be heard over the music as she matches my excitement. I have my entire day planned so nothing goes wrong. I am a list person. List help control craziness. My best friend Megan is here right on time according to my list... we have some last minute running around to do before the full moon tonight and I don't want to wait too late and run out of time. We get distracted very easily when we are together. Planning ahead and sticking to my list always helps.
