Late on Eresday morning Elise sat on the steps of the guild hall’s front porch with a rag in hand, rubbing her longbow down with oil, hoping Astredian was running just a tad late. Beside her, Hissabelle lay belly up, whiskers twitching in the light breeze. The red ranger had already given her bow a reasonably good cleaning, and smiled a little at the way the oil brought out the grain of the wood. It was a simple bow - a starter weapon that had been upgraded enough that it now counted as a rare piece of gear. She had grown attached to it, but knew that it would eventually have to be replaced.
