Chapter 34

Maximo Point of View;

" Are we still far away from Mount Anuba? " I got bored asking Chrisanto who was by my side. 

"We are near to that place," he briefly answered me.

I just sighed and frowned. We've been on the trip for almost two hours, so I'm bored.

After we talked to Tali, Alexander summoned Chrisanto, Russel and Jimmy to accompany me to find the Magical Liquid. 

I know that Jimmy was forced to come because of his face, but he didn't nothing when Alexander said that he will going to accompany me. 

I looked at Jimmy who is in front of me. I always feel intimidated because of his presence. Who doesn't scared when a man is always looking at me with a grind, right? I know that jimmy has something on me, like he is also intimadated at me. 

I do not know how many more hours we had to travel until We arrived at the Mount Anuba. 

"Where are we?" I wondered I question him.

"We are here at the opening of Mount Anuba, Maximo," he answered my question.

I grabbed my bag containing my belongings and got out of the horse. When I came out, I saw the other three standing and holding the other belongings while Chrisanto was not holding even one.

We approached our companions, "Let's start to move to finish our mission here," he said. 

Jimmy, Rod, and Russel were with nodded as I remained silent and followed what they were going to do.

After we talked to Tali, Alexander called the three of them to find the Magical Liquids that would help me to unleased my Magic or Armas if I have. 

As we entered the opening of Mount Anuba, we were exposed to the huge trees. We all walked in. Chrisanto and I followed the three warriors.

While walking, I notice the different plants on this mountain. I think that this Mount Anuba has tremendous botanical species because plants have names I do not know.

Using big knives, they cut down the weeds we passed. This mountain is quiet. 

We only hearing the chirping of insects and the dry leaves we step on can be heard.

Even to say that I have werewolves with me, I still can't help but feel scared when I hear a crackle everywhere. They say that Mount Sierra also has a variety of animals that live here.

We also walked for about two hours. We pass through the lush grass and large stones. I also feel tired.

I called them, so they stopped, and they looked at me, "Can we rest first?" I suggested to them.

I saw Rod smiled and approached me, "Why? Are you tired?" he asked me.

I glared at him, "Ah, no. I'm not tired! That's why I asked if we could rest because I'm tired. Use your brain, Rod!" I answered him.

He grabbed his hair because of what I said, "Do you want me just to lift you so we can climb faster?" he suggested to me.

"I do not want to lift by you, Rod. I just want some rest,," I replied seriously to his suggestion.

He sighed and called our companions.

"Let's rest for a while," Chrisanto ordered our comrades.

They put down the bags they were holding and sat in the shade of a tree. I, on the other hand, brought water to drink.

Chrisanto approached me and sat beside me. I looked at him.

We also rested for half an hour before we started walking again. We are going up and down. I was able to keep up with them, but my feet and my body were already tired.

"Be careful, Max. We are going to climb now," Rod, who was behind me, reminded me.

He was right, and we are now climbing the rocks. We continued to climb, and unexpectedly my feet slipped, so I was out of balance.

I close my eyes because I know I will fall.

I did not fall because two hands were holding my back. I turned around and saw Chrisanto.

"I said be careful! What will I do when you will be injured, or something happened to you?!" he told me seriously.

Because of what I heard, I could not help but feel warm on my face. I knew I blushed because of what I heard, so; I immediately averted my face from him.

I gasped. 

Our three companions are looking at us. I adjusted myself and prepared to climb again. 

It was getting late, so they decided to spend the night when we saw a flat area. The two male warriors arranged the tents and other belongings while the female is cooking for our dinner.

I sat on a rock near them. Rod came over and sat beside me.

We just stared at the three warriors while preparing our belongings.

" I don't know why I agreed to come to help you! " Jimmy said at me. 

" Then, go back! I don't need you, " I answered seriously. 

Our companions stopped at what they are doing because of my loud shout, so I felt ashamed. I just shook and grabbed my forehead. This annoying Jimmy! What is he thinking or talking about !!

When they prepared our tent and dinner ready, we all ate together. When we finished eating, I went into a tent to rest because my body was so tired.

When I lay down, I was about to close my eyes when Rod suddenly entered my tent.

I sat down, "What are you doing here !!" I shouted, asking him.

His face was puzzled by my question, "Shall we sleep?" he asked, answering me. 

I glared at him, "What do you think of yourself! You can sleep outside but not here!" I shouted at him.

His face became serious, "I just want to remind you, Maximo, that I am the Captain of one of the Majars! And you are going to put me to sleep outside?" he asked me.

"I don't care if you are a captain of Majars or what you are! Just don't sleep here. Stay with our companions!"

"What if I do not want to?" he smiled at me and finally went inside the tent.

He crawled closer to me. I move backward because of what he is doing. I didn't like his face, so I just closed my eyes.

" We only have two tents, Max, and in the first Tent, Crisanto, Rod and Russel staying there! " 

I heave a deep sigh, " Ok, you can stay here but please, don't talk something that piss me off! "

The morning came, we immediately arranged our belongings. After we ate our breakfast, we started climbing Mount Sierra again.

"Is the top of this mountain still far!?" I asked them. Honestly, I am so tired!

We have been climbing this mountain for a few hours, but we have not reached the top!

"According to the book of Magic Liquid, this mountain has 2,012 meters high, didn't they, Maximo?" Russel reminded me.

I just kept quiet and followed our three companions who are in front while Chrisanto was behind me.

We continued to climb here to the highest peak of Mount Sierra. Our journey went smoothly, and there was no problem. 

We just stop for a moment to rest and eat, and then we will continue climbing again.

"Can you still have the energy to climb, Maximo?" Jimmy asked me.

I turned to him, "Of course! I will not give up just to have a magic or Armas," I replied.

"If you are tired, just say so, and will stop and go back to Kingdom Nara," he said, smiling at me.

I glared at him, "I will not going to surrender, Jimmy. This is now my World and I need to adopt what kind of life is here at Chronia."

It took us about an hour to climb until we reached a part of Mount Sierra. The land is flat in this part, and there are also many trees. It is not rocky and grassy. All you can hear are the chirping of insects and the sound of the wind.

"Let's rest here," Chrisanto suggested to us.

I looked around to find something to sit. I saw a large rock, so I walked over to sit there.

I was in that position when I felt urination. I stood up and looked for a place to urinate. I saw a big tree, so I walked quickly there.

I immediately took off my pants and peed. When I could urinate, I got up and adjusted my pants; when I fixed it, the place where I was suddenly cooled down.

I feel weird, so I quickly go back to my companions, but I no longer know where they are.

I was so nervous, so I called my comrades.

"Chrisanto, Rod, Russel! !!" I shouted for them to hear me.

" Where are youguys! !?" I shouted, but still, no one answered.

Moments later, there was smoke in the area where I was. I moved forward because it gradually thickens until I can see nothing.

I also do not understand why I am drowsy. I sat down from standing.

"Chrisanto, Russel, Rod!!" my last when I fainted.

When I opened my eyes, I immediately stood up. I looked around and realized that I was somewhere else.

My heartbeat is speeding up, and I'm nervous!

"Chrisanto, Rod! ! Where are you!" I shouted, but no one answered.

I'm getting scared. My eyes are already watering. I do not know what I will do. I do not know where I am going.

"Please, answer me!" I shouted loudly but still nothing.

I just walk around the place where I am—looking for my companions. I shouted, but no matter what I did, no one answered.

I was sitting on the root of a tree. I could not stop myself from crying because of the fear and nervousness I was feeling.

I leaned back in my seat. I am no longer knew what I was going to do. I want to lose hope, but I can't. I need to find them! I will be back in my world!

I got up from my seat again and shouted again. I searched for my comrades and hoped they would hear me.

While I was searching for my comrades, suddenly, my eyes saw something. I looked at it carefully, and I could not be wrong!

I walked quickly to approach her. When I got close to her, I called her.

"Mom?" she slowly turned to me.

When I saw his face, I immediately moved and hugged her tightly!

"What are you doing here, mom? How did you get here?" I wondered, question her.

She touched my shoulders, and she looked at me.

"I'm looking for you, Maximo, because I want to be with you again, !" mom answered my questions.

I smiled because of what she said. Even though we haven't seen each other for a long time, I still miss my mom. I feel like my whole being is not complete when I am separated from her.

"I But you are already dead, mom! how come that you are here? " I asked her.

She looked at me seriously, "This is the place where I go after I died, Maximo. You? Why are you here? Are you already died?" she asked me curiously.

"I came here because my experiment did not work, mom!" I explained to her.

"How did that happen?" she asked me curiously.

I gasped, "Let's sit down first, mom, and I will tell you everything!"

I told mom everything from the beginning. What they said to me about this world as well as their beliefs and practices.

Mom listened to me seriously, and when I finished telling her everything, she understand why I'm here. 

"That would be great, Max! Because of that, we will going to united again, " she commented to me.

"You don't have to look for the magical liquid, Maximo!" mom told me, which made me amazed.

"What do you mean, mom?" I wondered, question her.

"When I first came here, there is no Devils that could attack here. This place is safe, Maximo, we can live here, just the two of us," she replied to me, which surprised me.

"Come on, Maximo, let's go home!" she invited me.

She held my hand. When she touched me, I suddenly felt a cold that I could not understand.

I could not move because of how I was feeling.

"Why, Maximo? Let's go to my house here," she repeated to me.

I was just looking at her. Why do I seem to feel weird? Why does something seem to be wrong here?

"Why? Is there a problem, Maximo?" she asked me with confusion.

"No, mom, but ..." I could not continue what I was about to say when I heard a voice somewhere.

"Maximo!" it was just a weak voice, but I knew Rod was calling me.

"Don't you want to go home with me, Maximo?" she asked me with sadness in her voice.

"I want to go home, mom!" I answered her.

"In that case, what else are you doing? Come with me, and we will go home!" she said to me.

"Maximo, please wake up!" I heard Chrisanto say somewhere.

"But, mom, there seems to be something wrong with what is happening right now!" I told her.

She was surprised because I said, "What's wrong, Maximo?"

I thought about her question, and I realized something. 

"Something is wrong with what you told me, mom!" I told her.

I let go of her grip, and I moved backward.

"What do you mean, Maximo?" she asked.

"I know you are not my mom. Yes, you look like her, you sound like my mom, but I was hesitant about you because of what you told me!" I told her.

"What are you talking about, Maximo. It's me, your mom!" she insisted.

I looked at her seriously, "First, how did you get to this place?  Second, How come that when you died, you came here at the world of Chronia? What you said is unbelievable that cannot convince me," I have a long explanation for her.

She smiled at me. She stood up straight. In a few moments, she gradually disappeared in front of me. When he disappeared, I felt dizzy, so I closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes, I first saw it was Rod's worried face. His eyes were watering like he is crying.

He suddenly hugged me tightly. I could not move because my mind had not yet been processed what he did.

"I thought you would never wake up, Maximo! I thought you were going to leave, MAx!" I heard Rod whisper to my ears as he hugged me.

When he let go of the hug, he turned to me, "I was anxious about you when we saw you lying down and unconscious. I thought, there is something that had happened to you!" he said passionately to me.

"Next time, don't leave without saying goodbye, Maximo. I felt scared too much. You know that?" Rod continued. 

" Sorry but even me, I don't know what happened! "
