*Victoria’s POV*
Esmeralda had the time of her life on our first run. She really enjoyed sharing that experience with Maximo. She was constantly snuggling into him and purring when he nuzzled her.
When we shifted back, Xavier picked me up again to take me to our room. We were so tired that we immediately fell asleep.

The light coming from a window woke me up and I shivered when I realized Xavier’s warm body wasn’t nearby. I pouted when I opened my eyes and confirmed that I was indeed alone. I hugged Xavier’s pillow and took a whiff of his coffee scent. So delicious!
“You should be kissing our mate’s delicious lips—that’s what you should be doing!” Esmeralda mumbled to me. I rolled my eyes at her. She could be too much! It was crazy how different we were.
