She woke up to a video of him. She could hear he was listening to her audio file as he stroked himself. The image showed him from the base of his throat down, kneeling with his knees parted.
She hastily grabbed her headphones and cranked the volume up. His breathy pants turned to moans as her cries increased in pitch. She'd really let herself go, locking herself in her own ensuite–she knew no one would be able to hear her there. After her third orgasm that day she’d felt pretty zen about it so the fourth she’d let take her over.
It was early, only 6 am. He had sent it around 2 am. She tried her luck and asked him permission to enjoy the video physically.
He responded within minutes.
Godrick: Put the vibrator in again.
She skipped out of bed and got it out of her hiding spot. She turned it on, ready for him to take control, and slipped it in, happily returning to bed. Feeling a ballooning of excitement, she told him she was ready.
She was writhing and panting before too long. The part in the video where he squeezed his shaft, gripping it tightly, had her clenching her teeth. His mushroom head was dark and swollen. She could see the glisten at his tip and it was all she could do not to growl and howl at the sight. She liked that when he came he let it fall where it wanted to.
She told him when she was done and slipped the s*x toy out of her.
Godrick: When are we seeing each other again?
DL: Sunday again?
Godrick: Can I bring you to my home?
She stilled at the question.
DL: Better not, sir.
He didn't respond. She chewed her nails waiting. When he didn't reply after half an hour, in that time she had just sat staring at her phone, she got up and got ready for her day.
The thought he was likely angry at her, created a caustic feeling in her stomach. She pushed the feeling down, trying to turn her mind to the tasks of the day.
She was early to breakfast that morning, Derek was the only one at their table.
"Morning," he greeted.
She nodded hello as she sat in her seat. It was awkward, there being only two of them sitting so far away from each other. They hadn't interacted much since the first training session.
"You and Tracy are both heading to the summer ball this Saturday," he ventured after a few moments of awkward silence.
"Yeah," Samantha took a sip of her juice. "Tracy is pretty excited about the prospect of finding her mate. I keep telling her it's a long shot but–well, you know what she's like." She smiled at him to soften her words.
Derek nodded. His usual serious expression in place. "I imagine you're hopeful too."
"Of course," she replied. "I want nothing more than for Tracy to be happy."
"I mean, you finding your mate."
"Oh. Right. Sure." She shrugged. Having a mate just felt like another eventuality for her. It would either be a Goddess-given mate or Derek as her chosen mate–or whoever else if he found his mate and she didn't. Either way it wasn't her choice.
Derek was staring a little too intensely at her so she cast her eyes down. While they didn't talk much she was sure she'd felt him looking at her more lately. She wondered if he was psyching himself up to having to take her as his mate. He would do well from the pairing. A born omega marrying into an Alpha position.
She figured he just saw her as the annoying kid that she had been. She and Tracy had loved to give him a hard time, especially when he was charged to look after them. He was only two years older but he was very serious and had been even when they were all kids.
"I'll be going as well,” he added.
"Cool," what else could she say? "Good luck, I guess."
"Yeah…" he mumbled as he stared down at his plate.

The group didn't dare groan. But there were meaningful glances, people's eyes flattening as they fought not to roll their eyes. Training today was running a marathon. If the average time to complete wasn't below a certain time they would all have to run it again.
Samantha had a mind to link her father. She could run any time, she wanted this mandated training to be proper training. Her father saw the look on her face and raised an eyebrow. She bit down her frustration and seeing no one else had started to move to the starting line, she turned and made the first move.
Derek watched her, comfortably falling in line behind her as her action spurred the rest of the group.
"Careful," Tom mindlinked him. "You'll slip on your drool."
Derek subtly kicked the back of his friend's heel causing him to stumble.
"Eyes up Hillmont!" Alpha Andrew bellowed.
"Yes, Alpha!" Tom called as he glared at his friend and mouthed. "Bastard."
Derek gave a faux innocent ‘who me’ expression as he stood next to Samantha at the starting line. Samantha glanced at him, quickly looking away before she could see the smile he tried to throw her way. He quickly looked forward, feeling her beside him.
Samantha let the tension build as she waited for the call to start the run. She was going to smash it. She was going to do her best to bring the average down–no way was she running this twice. Her day was going to be a lot of walking around the pack today, visiting the local businesses that serviced the pack. She didn't want to do that after running two marathons.
The signal was made and they were off. A number of pack members ran ahead, using all their energy for the start.
Derek called out for them to take it easy, only a few heeding his warning and dropping back to keep pace.
Samantha shook her head and in next to no time they were overtaking those who had pushed themselves too hard too soon.
She spun around and ran backwards, looking at how everyone was faring. They needed a portion of the runners to pick up the pace to be able to bring the average down.
She couldn't mindlink many people at once yet, so she spoke instead, "Tommy, keep the back half and stay at this speed. Drop one person back to bring the rear to the finish line. Those in the front, come with me."
She spun back around and took it to the next click. Derek and a dozen others broke form with her and pulled ahead of the group.
They were in the last quarter and she could see about half of the lead needed to drop back. She called for those that could, to keep up with her otherwise to maintain a good pace.
She saw in her peripheral Derek keep up beside her. He was definitely feeling it now, but he kept his breathing even. They came over a slight rise, the finish line in sight.
"Everyone for themselves!" Samantha shouted out suddenly, flashing a smile across at Derek and a few others running to her right.
The sudden competition spurred everyone. Samantha shot ahead. She felt the sweet burning in her lungs. She could feel a few people behind her but she was tearing ahead. Derek came into her periphery again. She turned her head and they made eye contact. She flashed a grin and pushed herself harder, her speed pulling her far ahead of him as they stampeded over the finish line.
They stood around, some falling to the grass, waiting for the rest to finish, and catching their breath.
Alpha Andrew recorded all the times himself. She noticed his impressed expression as the first and second group came through with such great time. Those that came towards the tail end were set to run it again, the rest allowed to go as they'd brought the average down. Samantha couldn't help but smile as everyone hollered–except the few who had to run it again.

Godrick: Can I call you?
Samantha glanced at the message. Tracy had talked her into watching a movie. Which was really an excuse for Tracy to gossip.
Samantha glanced from her phone to her blonde friend. Tracy was in short shorts and a midriff top. "Barbara is going to wear a white dress. How tacky is that?" She shoved popcorn in her mouth facing the TV, playing on her phone, but talking at Samantha. "I mean give some illusion of unattainability."
"Well, she must be feeling pretty confident she's going to find her mate." Samantha left Tracy to her snacks and not paying attention to the movie, and went to the bathroom. She turned the sink on low and called Godrick.
"Hey," he breathed. The sound of his voice ran through her.
"Hello, sir."
"Mmmm. I can't wait to see you."
"Me neither." She made sure to listen out but was sure no one could hear her.
"I've been thinking of the last scene…"
"Yeah?" Samantha bit her lip. She'd been thinking about it a lot. That piece of rope came out at least twice a day, the scent igniting her memory.
"I want to check in if there was anything you didn't like."
She didn't even have to think. "No, sir."
He was quiet on the other side. "What did I do to deserve you?"
She grinned at how husky he sounded. A thought came to her. "Was there something you didn't like?"
"There were a couple of things I did I won't do again."
She frowned. "Oh. Okay."
"You were amazing." The small praise buoyed her. He took a breath. "I need something."
"Yes, sir." She knew what that meant. Throwing caution to the side, she looked around the room. She needed to be quick.
She had a long shirt as her nighty with shorts under it, she slipped it off and set her phone up so she could record herself without her face appearing.

Godrick groaned at the video she sent him. He closed his eyes on the second playthrough, just listening without the visual aid. She was all he was thinking about. They'd been messaging even more this week.
He had tried to talk her into meeting sooner but she had been adamant the soonest she could meet again was Sunday.
Only two more nights.
It was the only thing that was holding him together.
