I'm taken aback for a moment before I walk to him. He seems to be nervous and his jaw is twitching with tension.
He opens his arms and I hesitantly walk into them. He pulls me against him, his strong arms snaking tightly around my waist. I relax in his embrace and I wrap my arms around his neck, hiding my face on his chest.
He ruffles my hair with his nose and takes a deep breath.
"Hi," he murmurs softly.
"Hi."
I can barely hear my voice. My heart is racing and my stomach is knotting. Being in his arms is pure bliss.
When I lift my head from his chest to look at him, he traces my cheekbone with his thumb and electricity courses through me. He pulls back all too soon then he takes my hand.
