12 Cade “Cade!” He could hear his crew’s voices, desperate and choking, even as the fire roared in his ear. He knew instinctively that when the ground had given way beneath him, his ankle had fractured. But the adrenaline kept him going, kept him moving—moving toward his crew. They sound like wild animals.
