All too soon she slowed, Chad half a step behind. She was shaking her head, eyeing the four empty stalls. “No,” it came out a moan. “May I ask?” “Our four best broodmares, all in foal. Two to our stallion, two to outside stallions.” Pearl fidgeted with the collar of her nightgown. “The foals
