9 - The Betrayal

Candace     Over the next few weeks, Noah avoided me like I was the damn plague or something.  I felt so alone without my boyfriend and best friend.  He had been such a big part of my life up to that point, and I needed him to continue being there for me.     After watching for Noah to make an appearance all day at school, the last bell rang, releasing us for the day.  Since he was an athletic guy and liked to work-out with the football players, I decided to search for Noah on the football field.     When I got there, I didn’t see him anywhere, so I asked a few of the football players if they had seen him.   The biggest asshole of them all flashed a knowing smirk at me and muttered, “Try looking for him behind the bleachers.”     I could hear them snickering and whispering as I walked
