Once upon a time, in a land far far away, or so you think. A world few know about or may think isn't real until you see it in your eye sight. Then you know, the rumors are very so much true.
They call themselves maid of the sea but their real names are called mermaids. When you think mermaids, you think a mythological creature with a woman's head and upper body, and a tail of a fish. Well yes, that is correct but they are also so very real. Or as others called them siren's. They say siren's were dangerous creatures, who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island. It is also said that they can even charm the winds.
Both are very correct, but everyone don't know all their facts until they meet one. And this human had met what he thought was fake.
A man was walking the beach of Maui, a small island off in the ocean waters by Hawaii. He walked this beach every single morning before work and every night before bed. One night, while he was walking it, he came across a woman passed out on the beach. Not knowing what she was, he still went to help. When he went to help her, he saw how beautiful she was, and there's no other beauty in this world compared to her one single bit. When he picked her up and carried her to his house to check her out, while middle of walking to his house, she had awaken in his arms and saw she was floating. Floating like she was on a white puffy cloud that she always dreamed about.
When she saw she was in a human man's arms, she felt safe for some reason. She didn't even bother to react. She just knew that he wouldn't dare to harm her.
When the man brought her to his place, he laid her on his bed and checked her out. Making sure she had no wombs or any damage to her body. After awhile of looking, she had came to once again and looked up at him.
They both had smiled and it warmed up her heart where her necklace started glowing. The man looked at it for a moment then back at her. It was like it changed his life.
Even if the necklace was helping them somehow, he just didn't know it.
After awhile they had talked, got to know each other. She told him what she was and what was going on in her world. But what so ever, even if they did live in different worlds neither of them cared. About 3 months of her living on land, after escaping, her so hell, she had fallen in love with her prince charming that saved her life, that day on the beach and never stopped thinking about it nor him. A few months later on they gotten married and later on, she found out she was pregnant by her human husband.
9 months later, the beautiful queen gave birth to the most amazing little girl that the whole world from down below to way up high has ever seen. The queen and her husband had called her Alyssa, meaning princess.
In their eyes she was a princess and technically she was one but the queen didn't want her part of that world. Or just yet at least. She even explained that to her husband that if something ever has happened to her, that their daughter would never find out, for not just her sales, but for everyone's sakes.
When Alyssa was just turning 1 years old, men had broken in their home and grabbed the queen to take her back to her rightful place, under the sea. Her husband tried to fight them but they were too strong and there were to many of them, for him to fight off. Where he had died that night holding his baby girl in his arms.
Luckily, the husband's mother was coming over for a visit that night where she had found the god awful mess and her son died with baby Alyssa crying in his arms.
The scene was so bad that it made the grandmother sick to her stomach. She wouldn't or couldn't believe something like this would happen. While she gotten everything she needed for Alyssa, she found a note on the nightstand saying keep her safe and don't let her in the ocean when she turns 16 years old.
The grandmother knew what the warning meant. She knew about the queen and what she was. Her son and daughter in law came out after she had Alyssa and told her the truth about everything. The grandmother promise til her last breath she would keep baby Alyssa safe.
And til that day, she has kept her word and made sure Alyssa had everything in the world.
Even if she didn't have the money or the time, she made sure her only granddaughter, daughter like figure, had what she wanted. If it was a day at the beach, lake or river with her friends, shopping in the small town mall that had because she was out growing her clothes or just wanted new fashion to keep up with for the seasons. Make-up, to help her look pretty, even though she didn't need it. She was already gorgeous as it was thank to her mother's looks.
If she had a date, with a boy or even with friends, she made sure she had what she needed and went to it if they had the money.
Even if some of the things the grandmother probably didn't like for her granddaughter, she just wanted her happy. And hoped for dear god that her parents are seeing how their daughter is going. And hoped that one day, that the same men, don't come upon shore and take her as well to where their world was at upon us.
Hope everyone likes this start of this book. I know its in 3rd person, but its explaining how everything has started. Stay tune to see what's next for baby Alyssa.
