Third Person POV
"Oh my... Now look at this... just my lucky day. This is too easy." one rogue says as he grins evilly, his paws prey precautiously her way. "Who cares. Just hurry up. I'm tired of following this beat around. Pick her up and get her on your back before she wakes up. We need to get back and take her to the boss."
"Come on, man. We still have time. Let me play with her a little." an evil smirk grows on his face, making the other rogue growl from annoyance.
"Dont you get it? This is Montero's kid. The boss specifically said that we are to keep our hands off her. If he finds you do things to her, he will have our heads."
"And who's gonna tell him? You?" the rogue chuckles, preying closer to Abbie's unconscious body.
"Im not going to get killed over a stupid girl. I know it makes no sense, but boss told you to bring her back safe. You think he won't notice you tainted her? Come on, boss is not that stupid." he warns him, getting in front of the other rogue.
"Get OUT of my way!" the rogue seethes, grinding his teeth.
"I said, leave her alone, or I won't hold myself back from ripping your throat out. I am not in the mood, man. I'm tired, I'm f*****g hungry and thirsty. We've been following this kid for nearly two days now. LEAVE. HER. ALONE!"
The two rogues with different intentions. One eager to get his way with her, the other, waiting for the right time to knock the other rogue out and let her escape with the excuse that the rogue King attacked them. They growl at each other, glaring in anger.
They're ready to attack each other when out of nowhere, they are surrounded by larger wolves, ranging from Golden Brown fur, to dark brown and some spotted ones. They become frightened, tucking their tails in as they see themselves surrounded, no way out, no way to escape.
"Who are you? And what the hell are you doing in my territory?" a larger wolf with dark brown fur, Golden eyes and a dominant posture. He had to be the alpha of the pack as the aura he emitted was powerful. "No...no. One. We... we accidently ended here. We were....we were lost. Weren't we, Bud?" one rogue Wolf tells the other.
"Y...yeah. We got lost. We were just out taking a run and our little sister was so tired she fell asleep. We'll be taking our leave now. We apologize for the inconvenience." the other rogue chuckles nervously.
"Hhmmm... I don't think so." the alpha stops them, signaling to his men to get closer as they growl menacingly. "P..please, we mean no harm." the rogue says, walking back, gett9nt closer to Abbie.
She groans in pain, but her head Hurst so much and she's losing blood that it knocks her out again.
Abbie lies unconsciously by the creek. A thin trail of blood stains the ground from her head wound, unaware there is a huge dispute between wolves.
Large wolves hover over the rogues, growling at each other as they stand their ground. There's no way around this. It's either fight, kill, or be killed.
The rogues were clearly chasing after the unconscious girl and had sinister intentions with her. But they never took the precaution to realize they had stumbled into a pack's territory, sending the pack warriors to run in the direction of their scent.
"What should we do with them, boys? It'll be fun to play a little before ripping their heads off, don't you agree?" the beta asks, as he comes to stand besides the alpha.
"Now now, Bertram. You darn well I don't like to play with food." The Alpha jokes, making the rogues fear for their lives.
"Finish them." the alpha says, not giving them a chance to run as the rogues get ripped apart. They are given no chance of escape.
The alpha looks at the young girl laying. She looks badly hurt, and the wound on her head should have already started healing. He smelled her, it was evident she was a werewolf, but, she didn't scent her as a rogue. He wonders what could have happened to her.
"Poor girl. It's a good thing we got here on time, Alpha Lorenzo." his beta says, making him hum in agreement.
"Take her to the infirmary. See if Adeline can get those wounds taken care of." his beta nods and signals to the guards. They quickly get Abbie, placing her on the back of one of the wolves and run toward the pack's infirmary.
"Please.... Don't.... Hurt Me." she whines through pain, barely holding on to the wolf's fur as her body weakens from the loss of blood.
"Hang in there kid. We're almost there." the wolf tells her, stopping right on time, right in front of the infirmary. Another Wolf jolts to a stop, shifting quickly and grabbing her body. "Adeline!" he yells as he breaks the door in, running inside with her frail body.
"Oh, goddess. What happened? Who... who is she?" Adeline asks, looking at Abbie as he places her on the bed.
"I don't know. We found her passed out by Raven's Creek. There were two rogues hovering over her. I think they were trying to kidnap her." the young girl doctor gasps, looking at Abbie as he places her legs on the small bed, and sighs.
"Yeah. Tell me about it. Luckily, Alpha and Bertram were quick to action. We were able to annihilate the intruders and save her. She looks pretty beat. Do you think she'll make it?" he asks, placing his hands on his hips, concern written on his face.
"How is she? Is she okay?" Beta Bertram asks, making the two turns. "I don't know. She just got here. Goddess, she looks so small. Why, she has to be around fourteen or fifteen years old at the least." Adeline grabs the stethoscope and runs her hands through her body to check for any broken bones or fractures.
"Well, do the best you can, will you? Please, keep me updated. Boy, she looks no older than my sweet girl Felicity." Bertram adds, sighing as he becomes concerned with Abbie's state.
Adeline takes care of her, while Bertram stays behind at the infirmary to make sure she is safe.
"What are you planning to do with her? You can't leave her out there, she'll die. What if more rogues come by and look for her? Who knows all she's gone through?" the alpha's mate asks. They stood around Abbie, looking at her as she slept soundly, recovering from her wounds.
"I don't know. But what I do know is that we have to protect her," he says, looking at his own son who is running around outside in a field as he and his friends play a friendly game of soccer. He was three years older than Abbie, making him months away from taking his father's place as the new alpha of The Black Raven's Creek Pack.
To think that a new danger had emerged. Girls from everywhere, packs, and rogues were disappearing. And word had it they were being misused for sinister reasons. He would not have that. Not in his pack, and right now, he was glad he was able to save one girl from the wrath of perdition.
"I can take care of her, Alpha Lorenzo. My wife and daughters will keep her company while she gets better. When she's recovered we can ask her... find out who she is and where she came from. For now, my wife and daughters will take turns taking care of her." Beta Bertram adds, making the alpha look at him pondering.
"Very well. She's your responsibility, Bert. Get this girl out of here once she regains consciousness and make sure she's safe. I will tell the guards to strengthen the perimeter, and enforce our grounds with more frequent runs around the territory."
"No need alpha. I already did. Please, don't worry. We will take good care of her."
"Good. Good. Let's go, Raine." the alpha holds his Luna's hand and turns on his heel.
Abbie's body had given out. Her Wolf had been overworked and even she was too worn out to keep Abbie going. She had run far more than her body should have, making her take longer to recover than she should have. The loss of blood from the blow to her head didn't help the situation, making her fall into a deep sleep until she recovered. For now, though, she was safe, and she would finally have a safe warm place to sleep.
