Chapter 6 – Savannah’s blue hair
Savannah Michaelson
POV
When I open my eyes, I could hear movement in my room. Gloria must be here.
I sit up to see Gloria our housekeeper emptying my laundry basket.
“Morning…” I smile stretching my arms out.
She smiles and greets me back… “Morning Miss Michaelson…”
I get out of bed and walk over to my ensuite. I crack my neck, it feels stiff.
I didn’t have the best of sleep. Asher didn’t come home last night, or he came in after I fell asleep. I didn’t think he would be that upset, though I did do a crappy thing. I know how he can be when his father is involved.
I know how his father can be, I know the pressure his father puts him under. I shake my head and start up the shower. I take my hair out of the bun and brush it out. I take off my clothes and step into the shower.
I need to wash my hair today. I wash my hair then my body. I wrap a towel around my hair then get out of the shower.
I wrap a towel around my body as well. I walk into my room, I take out my duck egg blue skater dress and I take out a pair of white Nike air force sneakers, with the gold chain.
I take my hair out of the towel when Gloria walks in.
“Oh my…” she mutters under her breath.
I turn to her.
“What’s wrong?” I ask when she looks right at me.
“Miss Michaelson, your hair…” she says awkwardly.
I frown and walk over to my vanity. My eyes widen when my roots are f*****g blue, my forehead is blue! The back of my neck is blue.
I close my eyes and count until ten…
I knew it was Asher. I just knew he would do s**t like this. swapping out my shampoo for hair dye.
I take a deep breath and decide to brush out my hair. I condition it, I crap a cap and decide to change my outfit.
I grab a jean and a crop top. A plain white top and a pair of light washed-out jeans. That matches my white Nike cap, it goes with the sneakers. It covers my forehead and roots. I need to get to the salon today to fix this mess before our family lunch.
I grabbed my phone and called Navy.
“Damn it’s too early for this Savy…” she complains.
“I’m going to kill him. I’m going to f*****g kill him…” I tell her.
“What’s going on?” she asks.
“He switched out my shampoo for hair dye. Blue f*****g hair dye…” I grit my teeth.
“I’ll check if the salon on fifth is open today…” she says before hanging up.
I walk over to his room and push the door open. He’s asleep.
I roll my eyes. He is still on his back, one arm under his head. his chest open the comforter just covering his mid section. If I wasn’t so sexually attracted to Asher, I would have thrown cold water over him.
Asher and I can’t stand one another, we both know it’s because we’ll never be with anyone we love. Or at least that’s how a feel. I have no idea what’s going on in Asher’s mind half the time.
I shake my head trying to stay on track. He f*****g dyed my hair blue because I hid his weed. Talk about childish.
I walk over to the bed, crossing my arms.
“You know if you want me to f**k you blue bird all you had to do was ask, there’s no need for you to drool over my chest.” He murmurs not opening his arms.
“No one is thinking about f*****g you. You f*****g died my hair Asher! I have school tomorrow! We have dinner with our parents later…” I remind him.
He laughs opening his eyes, he eyes me “I don’t see where the problem lies. You’re covering it blue bird…” he says before closing his eyes again…
I stomp my foot before walking out of the room. I leave the apartment; I go down to the underground parking.
“Miss Michaelson, Mr. Kincaid had me get your Porsche out storage…” Greg hands me my car keys.
I frown, why would he take that car out.
When I look over at my parking spot, my face turns into a scowl. I grab the keys and get into my car.
I raced over to Navy’s house.
When I get to her place I sit outside her place and send her a text letting her know I’m outside.
Leigh would be at church right now, so I know she won’t answer her phone.
We can pick leigh up after we get back from the salon, given that they can fix this mess.
Navy rushes over in sweats. I don’t blame her, it’s one of those damn days.
She gets in and slams the door shut.
I look over at her before starting the car. “What’s up with you?” I ask.
“Car is working on my God damn nerves, he wants to take a damn break, I’m causing too much drama for him.” she rolls her eyes.
She goes on to rant about him, and her. things like this make me happy to be single and not dating. I hate drama even though being with Asher is hell, being in a relationship sounds like a damn nightmare.
I don’t say anything. I drive to the salon.
“Is the salon open?” I ask stopping her from her rant.
She nods. “I made an appointment. You need to sort out this s**t with Asher. Honestly messing with your hair is a shitty thing to do. I get the tow of you have a weird thing about pranks, but Leigh spoke to me last night, she told me Asher went off on our homeroom teacher last night nearly knocking the man out.” she says.
I look over at her. “What?” I was confused.
“Wait you didn’t know? When Leigh left the restaurant last night, she ran into Cooper, and she spoke to him. When Asher came over, he hides her behind him, he was very protective and macho. I didn’t think he cared for Leigh to be honest.” She goes on and on.
Does Asher like Leigh? I didn’t think he had feelings for you, though I’ve never seen them really close before. He hadn’t even looked her way. Was he trying to hide it from me?
My hands tighten on the steering wheel. Why do I feel uncomfortable? Is it because I don’t want to see my friend hurt? She would never be able to be with Asher, she’s going to mess things up for both Asher and me.
When we got to the salon, they fixed up my hair the best they could, the blue took two bleach baths to get out of my hair. My hair is now blonde. I didn’t want my hair light again.
Sharon the lady who did my hair said, it will grow out naturally. She better be right. We picked Leigh up on our way to the mall.
Navy is on the look for cute dresses for school. Since she’s newly single. Carlyle and she have broken up so many times I can’t keep count. They always end up back together, so I don’t know why they’re on a break now.
I picked out a few dresses and shirts as well.
I look over at the entrance Melissa walks into the store with an older woman. I frown.
Navy follows my line of sight. We watched her pick out a skirt. Navy walks over and grabs the skirt out of her hand and puts it with her pile.
“I’m sure you can’t afford this skirt anyway; I’ll take it off your hands.” Navy says before looking over at Leigh to see if she’ll say anything.
I look over at Leigh, she’s not even paying attention.
“Sorry but she saw that first.” The woman with Melissa speaks up.
I scoff. “I don’t see how it’s any of your business but if you looking for trouble, I suggest you leave…” I cross my arms…
The woman and Melissa glares at me.
I look over at the assistant. “I’ve decided to withdraw the Michaelson and Kincaid investment in this mall, they let trash shop here…”
The shopping assistant looked at me in a panic.
Leigh walks over… “Rena call over the malls security and have them escort the two women out please.” She says softly.
Leigh’s family owns this mall. Actually, the mall was a gift from her father on her fifteenth birthday. She knows I won’t actually withdraw the funds.
“If anything, I should speak to the management of this mall, these teenagers are just throwing their weight around. If anything, they should be thrown out.” I’ve yet to figure who this woman is.
I look over at her before laughing… “You want to speak to management. How about the malls owner?” I ask.
She looks over at me before scoffing. “As if the three of you would know the owner.”
I take a look at what the woman is wearing. All the clothes don’t fit her properly and they look like they’re from last season.
“Rena, I said to get the mall security to escort the trash out. They’re dirtying my mall. Do I need to call my father before you listen to the words coming out of my mouth?” Leigh glares at the shopping assistant.
Rena was Leigh’s personal shopping assistant. She would escort her to every shop to help her pick out clothes and carry them for her.
Melissa’s face pales. She tries to stop Rena, but she’s already gone.
“Why would I care?” the woman scoffs crossing her arms.
I don’t stay anything just watching her… “Can I have your name, so I know who to sue?” Leigh asks.
The woman’s eyes widen, she pales, she looks at Melissa for help, but Melissa ignores her.
“Savannah I’m sorry, my aunt isn’t from here, she doesn’t understand how things work here.” Melissa says before rushing out of the store.
I scoff…
“Burn all the clothes in here. The trailer trash dirtied everything…” Navy says before walking out of the store.
I roll my eyes. “So, Navy said something happened between you and Asher last night?” I remember my conversation with Navy this morning.
Leigh looks at me panicked for a second. “It’s not like that. I was talking to Dr Cooper and Asher thought Cooper was flirting with me, they seem to have some sort of drama with each other after Dr Cooper left Asher put me in my car and I left. I would never do anything to hurt you, you know that right?” she hurriedly explains.
I frown. “I wasn’t thinking there was anything going on between the two of you. though the two of you seemed really chummy last night…” I remind her.
She shakes her head. “It’s not like that. All we did was talk; it was the first time we had ever spoken like that. We realized we had a lot in common I guess.” She shrugs her shoulders.
My phone rings before I could say anything… I saw Asher’s name on the screen, and I almost threw my phone away.
I answered the call. “Yeah?”
“Are you on your way home yet? it’s almost time to meet our parents…” he reminds me.
My eyes widen and I look at the time in shock. “I’ll meet you there, I’m still at the mall…” I tell him.
“Sure…” he ends the call. I bite my lip and look at Leigh.
“I’ve got to go back; I have to meet my parents for lunch…” I explain to Leigh…
She nods.
I rushed out of the store and out of the mall. Asher’s going to go on for years if he gets there before me.
