Skyler was quiet as he heard everything and said nothing while Valerie went and picked up one of her mother's grimoires and came back to sit on the edge of the bed.

She opened the grimoire and started browsing through the pages and said, "I didn't tell this to get your pity or sympathy, I want you to realize that I have already forsaken your goddess and I will leave the pack as well soon."

Skyler was baffled after he heard that, "not everyone is evil, you know."

Valerie smiled as she closed her eyes and then opened them again. Her eyes had turned purple as she used her spell to heal Skyler, and in five minutes, Skyler's wound was completely healed and Valerie's eyes turned back to normal. She closed the book and then placed the porridge before him and said, "I know that not everyone is evil, but I don't care because I am not a good person anymore as well. I am evil as well. "

This made Skyler look at her with alert, "What is that supposed to mean?"

Valerie smiled, "I am going back to the pack soon since the alpha is going to change and I have been called by my father to come to the house as he wants to play the father, he says that he wants to spend some time with me and has been harassing my god mother about it for days, he has made my life quite annoying because of the constant messaging and calls and what not.

Hence, I am going back to teach them all a lesson so good that they don't mess with me."

She said, and said, "Just eat your food."

She said and Skyler sighed and started eating his food, he really thought that Valerie was an interesting person, she was pretty and she has clearly gone through a lot and for some reason was helping him.

He then asked, "if you hate the pack, then why did you help me?"

This made Valerie look at him, it was true that she hated her family and the soon-to-be alpha Nathan and the entire pack, but not Skyler she didn't hate him, instead, she respected him, so she said, "Because you are handsome and also, I have heard a lot about you, so I was interested to get to know you."

Skyler blinked as he looked at her and then she said, "I have healed you, Skyler, you are free to leave and you are not wounded or weak anymore if you feel like I can be of any harm to you then you can attack me of course."

Skyler thought that whatever she said made sense and then started to eat again but he has to say that Valerie was rather interesting, she was smart and also honest.

And he really wanted to know more about her and he also wanted to know how she was going to teach those people a lesson. H was curious to see her at the pack soon.

After he was done eating Valerie took the dishes and went back to the kitchen and washed the dishes and then went back to her room only to see that Skylar was not lying on the bed, and Valerie asked, "by the way are you staying here alone? You do not have anyone else with you?"

"Actually I do, I came here with a group but I told them to go back to the pack first and I stayed back to relax a little and I was attacked by a rogue who was plotting this and when he saw me all alone he jumped on him with a silver dagger coated with venom and stabbed me with it I managed to kill him but yeah, I got wounded and I decided to just lay on the ground and relax when you came."

Valerie nodded, with understanding, "Alright, just rest, and you are welcome to stay as long as you want."

Skylar looked at her. His eyes were starting to get heavy and the fatigue was catching up to him, the last day he had spent just fighting without properly eating and resting it was obvious that he was tired both mentally and physically.

"Aren't you going to ask your aunt?"

"My mother is a very cool person, she will allow you to stay here."

Skyler smiled, "Good for you." he said as before he slowly went to sleep and Valerie sat beside him, observing him for before she smiled and left the room.

She went to the basement and started to practice.

She actually hated the basement and always had underlying fears so she avoids coming to the basement at night, and once again she started to practice her magic.

She has to become stronger and stronger so that she can take Nathan in a fight and defeat him.

But as she was practicing she thought that she might have to fight against Skyler as well since he served the pack he was the head warrior and was raised by the alpha's family what if he stood against her?

What if he considered her his enemy and attacked her?

If that was going to be the case then she had to be prepared for that as well and think of ways to fight him.

However, she just prays that that day never ever comes Skyler was the kind of person she would want to live. She wanted him to take over the pack.

Valerie just sighed it was no use to think about the future anyways future was something that she cannot see but she can change her future and predict her future.

With that, she started to practice again.

And sometimes that she was practicing Maya came back home and called out her name, "Valerie."

And Valerie heard her voice but she was in the middle of a spell so she couldn't reply since Maya did no hear a reply she walked towards her room and Valerie soon finished her spell.

But then realized that Skyler, who was an unknown and practically a stranger, was sleeping on her bed so she rushed back upstairs, "Maya wait!"

She called out but Maya had already opened the door of her as Valerie came running to her as fast as she can but when she came to the room she saw that it was empty and her blanket was nearly folded and the bed was made up.

"Valerie where were you? I was calling you and you did not reply."

"Oh I was at the basement practicing magic mother."

Maya sighed and looked at her before she said, "let's go out for dinner today. What do you say?"

Valerie smiled and nodded, "sure"

And so that day they went to an expensive hotel to have dinner.

And once they were done eating they came back to the home and Valerie went back to her room and laid on the bed.

She felt actually numb by everything right now the only thing that was making her keep going was the need for her revenge and Maya's revenge.

Valerie wanted to cry for her past self but she had decided that she was not going to cry anymore she was going to make others cry.

And just like that the day when she had to leave for the pack arrived.

And she felt really shitty that day she was heartbroken because she didn't want to leave Maya alone she wanted her to come with her and she was going to miss her.

She was in tears as Maya came to the station to drop her off and Maya was in tears as well, "Don't cry cub it;s just a few days and you will be back in two weeks."

Valerie looked at her and tears slipped her eyes the last time when she went back to the pack she never got the chance to see Maya again and she never got to hear her voice and she had to leave the world.

When Maya saw the tears she gasped and then hugged her, "it's going to be okay dear, if you feel threatened or mistreated or if someone dared to even yell at you then all you have to do is pick your phone and gave me call and I will handle everything. I promise I will rush to your side and take you with me and even the alpha won't be able to stop me."

Valerie hugged her back tightly, "I know, I will call you every day and I will bother you every day so don't worry about that."

Maya smiled before they both got down from the car and Maya walked Valerie to the train soon Valerie got on the train and sighed her journey to her revenge had finally begun.

She wondered if she will see Skylar over there he had left so abruptly without even telling her maybe he wanted to pretend that he didn't knew her she was fine by it.
