CHAPTER 04

Rain/Ash's Point of View

Nilapag ko si Thunder sa kanyang kama, pagkalapag na pagkalapag ko sakanya ay agad ko siyang ginawaran ng isang halik sa noo. Medyo late nadin nakatulog si Thunder dahil mukhang nawili siya sa mga taong nakilala niya ngayon and especially the fact that he was able to meet his father. If I had the choice I would not let Thunder meet Darren. It is not necessary for him to meet an unworthy man. 

Agad din akong lumabas ng kwarto ng anak ko at pagkasara na pagkasara ko ng pinto ay bumungad agad saakin ang lalaking ayokong makita sa tanang buhay ko.

"What are you doing here Javier?" - diretsang tanong ko sakanya at mukha namang natauhan siya sa tanong ko. And it is quite obvious that he does not know what to say or how to start a conversation. I already know him based on the reports given by Kay and the gang. 

"I just want to personally thank you for giving birth to Thunder, although all that happened is just because of my lust I am really happy that you still decided to keep him" - seryoso niyang saad dahilan para mapa-irap ako sa aking isipan. Does he really think that I am that heartless to abort a child or he is just plain f*****g stupid?

"Yeah sure. Just do your best to be a father to him. I am not asking for anything "- I said and he smiled at me. Like he was indirectly telling that he will be the best father to Thunder. Well I am not going to expect anything from him. Because expectations will only cause pain.

"Then I'll leave first because I am hella sleepy" - saad ko, hindi ko na hinintay ang tugon niya sa sinabi ko agad akong naglakad papunta sa kwarto ko na ilang hakbang lang din naman ang layo sa kwarto ni Thunder. 

Nang makapasok na ako sa kwarto ko ay agad akong sinara at nilock ang pinto at mabilis kong hinagis ang sarili ko sa kama. I closed my eyes and I started to recall what happened today, since I already got the man I need the next step is to meet that man's family.

Tsk although I hate him and I don't want to see him, in one way or another he is still the father of my son and I don't want my son to nag me that I did not help his father to get rid some annoying woman that keeps on clinging to him. 

And also what I am doing is all part of the plan, the plan to deceive my enemies. 

The Next Day

Binuklat ko ang tuklap ng aking mata ng maramdaman ko ang sikat ng araw na tumatama sa aking mukha. Agad akong bumangon mula sa akin pagkakahiga at dumiretso ang aking paningin sa orasan na nasa side table. I immediately frowned when I saw the time.

It's almost ten o'clock in the morning, and honestly this is not the usual time I wake up. Tsk. Maybe it is because I am tired that's why I slept longer than the usual. Napailing nalang ako at dire-diretso akong naglakad papasok ng banyo, tinanggal ko ang saplot saaking katawan at mabilis kong binuksan ang shower at nagsimula na akong maligo.

It took me about twenty minutes to finish taking a bath and changing into new set of clothes. Since I am going to meet the Javier family today, I decided to wear a woman tailored three-piece suit attire paired with red three-inches heels. Nang masiguro kong ayos na ang itsura ko ay agad na akong lumabas ng kwarto, sinara ko ito at sinigurado ko ding naka-lock ang pinto dahil mahirap na at baka kung sino-sino ang magtangkang pumasok ng kwarto ko. 

Tinahak ko na ang daan papunta sa unang palapag ng aking bahay at ng tuluyan na akong makababa ay agad kong nakita si Thunder na nasa tabi ng kanyang ama at ang matandang hukluban ay nakangiti na parang ewan.

Even the others are smiling like crazy, well of course except for my reapers because they already know what to and not to do while we are doing the mission. Still, I cannot help but to wonder what happened.

"Jasper let's go" - agad kong pagtawag kay Jasper at nakita ko ang agad na pagtayo nito mula sa kanyang kinauupuan at mabilis din itong nakalapit saakin. Agad niyang nilahad saakin ang kanyang kamay and I immediately handed him my bag. 

Jasper has always been like this since the first day we met. He rather hold my things especially bag rather than he lets me hold them myself. But I know Jasper is trustworthy and I trust him more than my gangmates. specifically I trust my reapers more than my gangmates. 

"Moooommmy good morrninggg!!" - rinig kong saad ni Thunder and before I knew it ay nakayakap na agad siya sa binti ko. I can't believe that he just greeted me now when I am almost two minutes here already? Why? Because Thunder has the habit of noticing first when I am around, but I guess it is not the case right now. It is obvious that he, specifically his senses are distracted because he is having so much fun with his father, his father's friends and of course, his grandfather.

Hindi naman sa nagseselos o nagtatampo ako, let's just say that I am worried that Thunder is getting too attached to people that he shouldn't get attached to. 

"Good morning Thunder" - I replied and I gave him a peck on his forehead, and as if on cue ay agad na kumunot ang kanyang noo.

"Why are not carrying me mommy? And why are you wearing that again?"- he asked and obviously he is curious as well when I suddenly did not carry him because I too have the habit of carrying him every morning when I wake up. And also, he quite hates it when I wear clothes like this three-piece suit. 

"Sorry Thunder, but I have work to do today that's why I am wearing this outfit. I am going to meet up with a client that's why I need to wear formal attire" - I said as I crouched down para magkapantay kami ng mukha ng anak ko. Ang pagkakunot ng kanyang noo, ay agad din namang napalitan ng isang pag-nguso.

"I thought that you are going to ambush someone again mommy, so I a kinda of worried that you will not be able to go home tonight" - he whispered, na tanging ako lang at si Jasper ang nakarinig and I cannot help but to let out a low chuckle. 

"Don't worry Thunder, I will be home at five in the afternoon so that I can teach you new things again"- bulong ko din sakanya at ang pagkanguso niya ay agad napalitan ng ngiti. He immediately gave me a peck on the cheeks at agad na siyang tumakbo pabalik sa tatay niya. 

Agad din naman ang umayos ng pagkakatayo at lumapit ako sa matandang hukluban. 

"I am going to work, I hope you'll watch over Thunder well" - I said to Darren, but what I said is not only addressed to him but to all of the people in my house. 

"Where are you going, Ash?" - seryosong tanong ng matandang hukluban and I can't help but to heave a deep sigh. Masyado talagang mausisi ang isang to' ni hindi nalang ba akong hayaan gawin ang mga kailangan kong gawin. Tsk.

"You'll just find out soon, old hag. So just worry about your health and don't mind about me" - tanging sad ko nalang at dire-diretso na akong nagtungo papunta sa pintuan at nakasunod naman saakin si Jasper.

"Good luck and take care mommy!!" - I heard Thunder yelled and I just waved my hand as I finally step outside of the house. Dumiretso kami ni Jasper sa kanyang sasakyan. Pinagbuksan niya akong pinto sa back seat at agad akong pumasok, while siya ay nasa driver's seat. 

Agad niyang pinaandar ang makina ng sasakyan and it already started moving. I didn't bother giving orders or directions to Jasper because he knows everything that we will do while we are staying in this country. Rather all of my reapers know what's going to happen because they all have their separate missions that can ensure that my plan will be a hundred percent successful. 

I am sure that everything is going to be succesful.
