Kimberli awoke to the warmth of the sun shining upon her face. Her eyes fluttered open, it was morning. She glanced at John, who was still asleep beside her. She smirked. Though he considered her to be an angel, to Kimberli he was the glorious one. She checked the clock, that sat on the nightstand and grumbled when she realized it was nearly nine o’clock. They were beyond late for school. Kimberli sighed. She had gone from having perfect attendance to skipping school multiple times, and now tardinesses.
