Momentarily stunned by John's sudden departure. Kimberli's feet felt as if they had sprouted roots, anchoring her to the ground. Immobilized, she watched as he disappeared from her sight. Oh God, He's leaving. She had stood up to him, her personal bully, she should have felt triumphant. Then why did her heart feel as though it was breaking?
