CHAPTER 19 THE TEAM FILTERED out of the room until only Nye, Emmy, and I were left. “Do you need a lift home?” he asked. “Or do you have friends in London to stay with?” I didn’t have friends at all, not proper ones. “I can call a taxi.” “Don’t be silly,” Emmy said. “I’m going to Sandlebury anyway, so you can catch a ride with me.” “Are you sure?” “Of course. It’ll be nice to have somebody to keep me awake. I didn’t get much sleep last night.” “Are you sure you’re safe to drive?” “I’m fine. Just let me grab another coffee.
