The Witch And Her Alpha Mate

Chapter 2

 Two days before Duncan's birthday. Taylor packs her clothes in her 2020 Infiniti Q80. Zach bought it for her last month as an early birthday gift. She drives to the bank to take all of her savings out, which was a little over two hundred thousand dollars. Her mother had left her some money in a safe deposit box. She hadn't touched it until now. She didn't have a clue about how much was in there, but she is taking it all. She had no idea that it was one million dollars. She knew her mother said that she was saving money for her. But she never thought it would be that much.

After Taylor left the bank she went to meet Duncan, Ashton, and Renay at the mall. She didn't care for Renay. Renay is Ashton's bed toy, not his Mate. She also knew Renay likes Duncan.

Duncan is standing outside the main entrance waiting on her. Taylor runs, jumps into his arms wrapping her legs around him. Duncan catches her mouth sliding his tongue in hers. They moan as he takes control of the kiss.

“Alright you two knock it off,” Ashton said looking at them laughing, shaking his head.

Renay rolls her eyes at Taylor. “I can’t stand her ass. She is human and weak. What does he see in her?” She is thinking as she looks at Taylor and Duncan kissing.

They are walking around the mall, killing time after they finished shopping. Duncan and Taylor are holding hands.

“So Taylor what are you going to do when Duncan finds his mate?” Renay asks looking at Taylor

“Be quiet,” Ashton said looking at her.

“I was only asking a question,” Renay said smirking, looking at Taylor walking off.

Duncan turns to look at Renay. “Shut the f**k up,” He jogs off to catch up to Taylor. “I'm sorry, Renay is stupid. Just being Renay.” Duncan wraps his arms around her waist

“I know,” She said looking away

“Tay, you know I love you?” Duncan asks looking at her.

“I know you do. I love you too,” she said looking at him

“ Do you want anything to eat?" He asks catching her hands.

“No, I'm not hungry. I'm just going to go home.”  She said looking at him

“Are you sure?” Duncan asks, placing his finger on her chin lifting her face looking at her

“Yea, I'm sure.” She said kissing him

“Do you want me to bring you something to eat tonight?” He asks her looking concerned

“No, I'll eat something at home,” Taylor shakes her head.

“Okay, I'll see you tonight” If you change your mind. Let me know” Duncan said looking at her

“Okay,” She said trying to smile

He kisses her on her forehead

Tay and I have been friends since we were in our cribs. I think we fell in love then. We have always been inseparable. She was devastated when her mother died. People said she was killed by rogues. Tay said, that the rogues did not kill her.  That she was murdered by some pack members. She always said she could see the attack. But couldn't see the wolves clear enough to figure out who the four wolves were. My Tay cried for months in my arms every night.

When her father mated with Estella. Tay was devastated again. But she wanted her father to be happy. So she didn't say anything. She always tries to keep her distance from Estella and Amanda. But they always seem to find a way to tick her off.

Doris knew Estella, she didn't like her. She also said that Estella couldn't be trusted and was an evil woman.

I found out a year ago about Tay being a witch. When I was climbing in her window one night.  Because I was missing her, so I went earlier than I usually do.  She had summoned her mother from the dead. Tay and her mother were having a conversation. Just like they did when she was alive. Her mom scared the s**t out of me. When she said hello Duncan, Tay is right you are more handsome now. I froze where I stood and was speechless. I always knew she was different. But I thought she was human. I don't care what Tay is, I love her. She is My Tay and will always be.

I'm happy that tomorrow that I will finally be making love to her. " Duncan is thinking. When Ashton walks into his room. Ashton, his Beta, and best friend.

"Hey man, what are you doing?" Ashton asks looking at him

"Nothing much," Duncan said looking at him

"Your thinking about Tay. Man, I keep telling you  to mark her on your birthday."Ashton said still looking at Duncan

"Ash, I keep telling you that I would love to do that. Remember my father said I have to mate with my true mate. But I'm not accepting anyone to be my mate. If it's not Taylor. I will wait until I'm Alpha then Taylor and I will be mates. " Duncan said looking at him.

Ash is looking at Duncan shaking his head

"Tay"

The Day before Duncan's birthday Taylor wants to spend it with her father.  Since she is leaving tonight at midnight.

Zach helps her pick out Duncan's birthday present. She decides to buy him a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watch. She also had it engraved. "I hope he will wear it every day and think of me" She is thinking as she looks at the watch.

After she and her father bought his gift she wanted something special to wear tonight. Something that she normally wouldn't wear. After an hour of trying on dresses, her father hands her a navy blue crochet detail short strapless dress. "Here try this on. Duncan will love it" Zach is looking at her smiling.

"It's beautiful and it's Duncan's favorite color." She said smiling looking at the dress than at her father.

After she tried the dress on and model it for her father. She decides that it would be perfect. Her father pays for her dress. Zach decided it was time to eat lunch and talk. He knew that his daughter is hurting. Even if she is trying not to show it.  Since Duncan will be at the age to find his mate. When he finds his mate, she is not going to want Duncan and Taylor around each other. "Taylor is strong" He is thinking as he is looking at her.

Taylor and Zach are sitting at the table eating lunch. " When are you leaving?" Her father asks looking up from his steak

"What are you talking about?" Taylor asks looking at her father

"You are my daughter. I know you and I also know how you and Duncan feel about one another." Zach said still looking at her.

"Tonight after our date," She said looking at her Chicken Caesar salad.

"So he's not sleeping over tonight?" Zach asks looking concerned at his daughter.

"No. I heard that his father wants him to meet every unmated she-wolf in the pack at midnight. Including Amanda." Taylor looks away. She is trying not to cry

Taylor is the only girl in the pack that didn't receive an invitation. 

"How long are you planning on staying away?" Her father asks as he is cutting his steak.

" At least two years. that should be enough time. Maybe by then, my feeling would have changed." Taylor said drinking her sweet tea

"Where are you going?" He asks placing his hand on top of hers.

"Los Angeles. Aunt Margie rented me a two-bedroom apartment last week." She said looking at him nodding her head.

" Good, at least you will be close to family." Her father said smiling

"I will miss you, father. " Taylor said holding her father's hand. Trying to hold her tears back.

" I will miss you too." He said as he hands her a cashier check for five hundred thousand dollars.

" Thank you," She said looking at the cashier's check.

"Your mother came to me in a dream about a year ago. She said you were going to leave tonight at midnight. Doris also said that I needed to understand why you were leaving. I couldn't let you leave unless I knew you had some money."   He is rubbing her back.

"Please don't tell anyone where I am going. Not even Estella. " Taylor said looking at her father.

"I won't. But you will not be getting rid of me that easily. I will be out there a lot." He said smiling at her.

''You know I was hoping you would say that." She said smiling at him.

"But, I want you to do something for me. You can't leave without telling him, at least leave him a note. His heart is going to be broken enough. Duncan loves you with everything in him." Her father said looking at her

"I will. I already wrote it. I love him too." Taylor said while tears run down her cheeks. She couldn't hold them in any longer. Zach stands up walks over to her wraps his arms around her pulling her into him "It will work out. I am sure of it. "
