Chapter Ten Boone I sat on the bed, listening as Grace’s breathing slowed into the steady rhythm of sleep. I hated seeing her like this. Now, I knew why I’d heard the worried comments from friends. I certainly figured migraines were painful, but witnessing her in this much pain was actually frightening. If there was one thing I knew about Grace, it was that she didn’t like to ask for help. That she even let me help at all was a glaring sign of just how much she was hurting. Once I knew for certain she was asleep, I rose carefully, making sure not to wake her.
