Edith heard the thump of the feet of the horse in the ground. She was sitting at the back of their house. It was a sunny afternoon, and she did not want to work inside her office where it was cramped and hot. "My love, what are doing here? Why aren't you inside the house?" Pat asked her. He had a worried look on his face. How did she tolerate the heat here? He thought. "Pat, you came. I thought you weren't going to show up." Edith replied with a smile on her face. She suddenly felt happy when she saw him. "Are you busy right now?" Pat asked and scratched his head. "Nope, I am actually free. This can wait until later in the evening. So where are we going this afternoon?" Edith asked. "We're going horseback riding." Pat happily replied. "Are you serious? I haven't done that lately." Ed
