My heart continued beating faster in my chest the entire one minute that Niklaus' name flashed on Justin's phone screen, and I just silently watched as it went off like that. The phone went unanswered. Justin purposely ignored his elder brother's call in front of me.
"Mad at him?" I asked in a light joking voice, not trying show the number of assumptions and conclusions I had instantly drawn. "Is he still being the jerk older brother you told me about?"
Justin just slightly chuckled. "Nik is well... Nik."
I scrunched my eyebrows, trying not to look too curious. Trying and miserably failing. "You said that before as well? Niklaus is Niklaus. What.. did you mean? Is he not...a good man? Is he not a good brother?"
