The Kellers *** The limousine car stopped at a high rise building at the heart of the city— The Global Corp., this empire was singlehandedly built and amassed by the legendary figure, Sebastian Andersen. So when the familiar car stopped in front of Global Corp., the directors and other staff immediately formed a line to greet him. This has always been a morning routine. Not only do they hold great respect for Sebastian but also an immerse fear. For a businessman like Sebastian Andersen, being indecisive and ruthless is on his nature. Little did they know, he became like this because of the environment he grew up in. Born into a mafia family, his father has trained him to be a mafioso— ruthless, indecisive, and wise, he used all he learned from his father to dominate the economy of the country. The chaffeur opened the door while the bodyguards also lined up vigilantly on both sides, making sure that no danger pose a threat to their leader. Sebastian alighted the car with an air of a king. As his slender legs that was hidden beneath an expensive trouser made a powerful stride, all eyes were train on him. The man was evidently dress like an ancient noble that's emitting a chilly aura. Though his presence makes every living things deter, the demand for attention still won out. "President Andersen, good morning!" "President, good morning!" He nodded at them without stopping. Without further ado, he made his way through the elevator, up to the highest floor where his office is. A 'ding' was heard. His assistant greeted him with a bow and a flirty smile. "Sir, Mr. Santino has been waiting inside." she reported. "Okay." He headed straight to his office without a single glance at her. Inside, a blonde-haired man is sitting arrogantly at the only swivel chair. His feet crossed above the glass table. When he saw the person entering, a broad smile broke on his beautiful face. "You're going to leave my chair," Sebastian said, "or I'm going to shoot your ass that you won't be able to sit for a long time?" Hearing the underlying promised in his voice, Santino grudgingly sat on the sofa. "Just want the feeling of sitting on that boss's chair." "How's the deal?" "It was a success. DeColli immediately agreed on the terms and condition. He's even more than willing to help you look for your wife, though he's disappointed you did not meet him personally. He hopes that would happen anytime soon." Sebastian steepled his fingers on top of the table. "He agreed that easily?" "Yes. It's suspicious, right? We are talking about partnership here. If he looked into it properly, he will realize that the Global will gain more than the DeColli. Still, he signed as soon as the contract was laid out." "Do a double check on his background." "You also think he has other motives? What if he really has bad intentions?" "Then I'll destroy him without a chance to retaliate." He only needed the DeColli to widen his influence and power. If a telecommunication company like them won't help him loyally then he still has other ways. A perfect busineman like him only aim for the winning side, failure is not on his vocabulary. "There's another thing I want you to do." He sent an image on Santino's viber. "Find out where that symbol belongs to. I need the details as soons as possible." Santino studied the image and as if a lightning struck, his eyes widen. "Where did you get this?" "An assassin took a visit last night. Do you know the symbol?" "A little. When I was in America, I've seen it once. This is the insignia of an international Assassin organization, Crescendo Order. All of them has this tattoo on their body." he explained. "Why would you take a sudden interest to them. This is not the first time someone sent an assassin to kill you." A cold silence hanged in the air. It was brief but enough to suffocate anyone who's not used to Sebastian's aura. He leaned on his chair, the muscle of his jaw clenching. "I feel like it was somehow connected to Mori. She had the same symbol on her back." "You think she's an assassin?" He did not dare reply hastily. Last night, when the idea came he did not feel anything because, in fact, he married her without knowing who she really is. And she did the same. They were both strangers who are connected by marriage. But for him, she is an innocent girl. He has this first impression that she's an angel who descended from above, not like him. He belongs to the darkness, an angel whose wings are clipped. "I don't care what she is." He finally said, "I just want to find my wife." "Alright," Santino answered, though he has another opinion he didn't say it aloud. He would only invite death. "Just a piece of an advice, as your friend, be prepared when all the information was found." *** At noontime, Sebastian made a surprise visit at the Keller's. His imposing figure immediately catching the attention of a maid, who run like a prey just to inform the owner of the house. Just in time the gate was opened, Mr. Keller showed up with a rigid face. He's still mad at the person for snatching such a good daughter-in-law from his son, but still he has to show respect eventhough he's a generation older than him. Sebastian stopped in front of him, searching if there's something wrong with his behavior. Is he nervous, surprised, or fidgety? However, all he can find is annoyance. "Mr. Andersen, what brings you here?" Mr. Keller started, not even bothering to invite him inside. Meanwhile, Sebastian did not also bother to reply. He headed inside the mansion, leaving the old man with a stomach full of anger. Unbuttoning his suit jacket, he comfortably sat at the long sofa while his bodyguards took their place behind. Minutes after, Mr. Keller came in. "What the hell do you want, Mr. Andersen?" Sebastian glanced at him from the corner of his eyes. "I am looking for my person. By any chance, do you know where?" "Do you think I would dare keep your person with me? I am not that eager to die yet." "Where is your son, Keller?" "Why would you look for him? Of course, he's at his company. I'm telling you, We do not have the habit of abducting people, as far as I remember, you're the only one who has." he replied angrily, "Did you not do that to us? After you meddled with my business deal, you even dared to steal my son's fiance on the day of their wedding ceremony. Stealing her away from her family and her soon-to-be-husband, then what? You married her on the same day!" Keller was so mad that he even forgot to sit. However, fear soon won out when the man narrowed his eyes dangerously. "I have the impression that you are a smart person, Keller, but it seems that you have gone senile due to old age." Sebastian stood up, his fingers buttoning the suit. "Just make sure that you and your son did not play a trick on me. If ever I found out that your son is hiding her, then I'll tear him apart before destroying your whole family." He was already one foot outside the mahogany door when he heard the old man talk again. "Her? Are you talking about the wife you've abducted? So someone finally dared to go against you, heh... Don't you think this is karma?" Though the tone is mocking, Sebastian was not affected at all. Those who do not know the whole story can only speculate. Their wild guesses are nothing but an illusion. For him, it's a waste of time to argue with those who are narrow-minded. She was stolen, that's the story they tell. But they do not speak of how a sweet smile formed under the white veil. How she let her abductor take her without struggling, whispering only two words in his ears. "Thank you." ▪️▪️▪️▪️
