Charles was very quick and tough and by the time Vanessa received the message, she had no choice but to listen.
It was a small city that Charles arranged for her to go and she wouldn’t have any real power, so it was natural that she didn’t want to go to.
But even if Charles had arranged any other city for her, Vanessa wouldn’t be willing to go. Charles just found a random reason to make her leave imperial capital.
Charles was in a meeting, he would always bring Elena to meetings, letting her sit in and listen. Although, Elena didn’t understand what they were saying most of the time, she still went and pretended to be interested but she was always sleepy sitting there.
