Elena did not want to cause a commotion in her house, she had no choice but to keep Charles a secret until after graduation.
After closing the bedroom door, Elena ran to the front door and was just about to open it when she saw a pair of shoes out of the corner of her eye. Charles left his shoes in the shoe cabinet by the door.
Her mother, Rachel, who was not as gentle as her feminine name, had the keen insight that the police should have. Elena rushed to pick up the leather shoes and hid them in an empty shoe box nearby then opened the door for her parents.
"Elena, why did you lock the door?" Harry frowned.
Elena smiled unnaturally, "I didn't pay attention to it, it must have just been out of habit. We always lock the door at the dormitory."
